This thread is infectious. Was at Mines today to get my Note 2 power button fixed and I managed to play with the Note 8 display set. God it felt good holding one and I was quite surprised how easy it was for me to reach the fingerprint sensor. I got home and stared at the Note 8 page thinking how should I get the discount voucher. I saw Tac2000's post and decided to give it a go. Can't wait to celebrate Deepavalli with it. Gonna be my phone for the next 6 years.

Now to hunt for a proper screen protector, but looking how everyone's experience here with it on is bad I'm kinda having second thoughts now. As for casing, I'm trying to get that heavy duty protective cover which looks pretty solid.

Edge screens are not screen protector or tempered glass friendly. You'll regret.

get the tax invoice/receipt from senheng and then directly deal with samsung to register your basic first year and protection plus warranty, faster

senheng is also register these 2 type of warranty with samsung

for the protection plus, you will still need to chase samsung for the certificate as proof after registered, senheng will not able to provide it to you

Above need to be done at Samsung centre right?

Feel like being conned by senheng:x

Nothing. Naked since day 1 (pre order) Still scratchless day in and out diving out of my pocket.

Been testing the free casing about a week now. Makes the phone look ugly. But greatly improves the grip.

Anyone feeling the typing input laggy when using SwiftKey? Doesn't feel fluid like my s7e or old iPhone.

I don't have that lag when using the stock keyboard.

I know what you mean. Usually when that happens I clear apps and it gets back to normal. Not sure why the occasional lags but because I can't live without SwiftKey I will wait just wait for updates that could perhaps ameliorate this.

For those who are having doubts with using the screen "naked", you won't regret it. The experience is much better. Just becareful to not have any other things in that default pocket of yours which houses your phone. Don't put it inside a bag, you'll probably end up with hairline scratches. Bottom line, just make sure you're confident that your pocket has nothing. And... Never hold your keys and phone using the same hand.

well, some members at here got hairline scratch on their phone after few days to 1 week usage
and yes, they don't put anything into the pocket together with the phone
so still no idea how can it get scratch

so it is not 100% safe as you say, still depend on luck no matter how careful you are

Thank God I'm not alone. Most noticeable when I type in browser.

I've tried clearing the cache after u mentioned (first time since day 1 launch) :some improvement.

Totally can't live without SwiftKey...

currently, i am using x-one stealth sp.. so far i feel the sensitivity is ok with a bit of rubbery feeling.. the only problem is to have good steady hands when installing it.. and using samsung's protective cover.. it's thicker and abit heavier.. since i have butter fingers, it's better to have a better cover..

I noticed that when I connect my phone to the PC, some of the photos are not visible in DCIM folder for transfer.

Unless you're very extra careful person, feel free to use it naked.
If you're someone that heavily used your phone in various condition, sp/tg is a must. I also very extra careful person with my previous S7e but still cant avoid hairlines. Anyway, how careful person can be is subjective.

Another option if user took screen protection plus from SME, maybe they can use it naked, smash the screen before the protection expired and claim new screen from Samsung.
