Eco mode probably too relaxed for heavy foot drivers.
For me driving my Hybrid.
S mode holds the revs for a little too long before upshifting unless I upshift myself. It will automatically downshift when your revs and speed drops. So you can just focus on upshifts. Throttle response is sharper than the other modes and acceleration is more apparent when there is power coming from the battery.
So I am back to driving in normal engine mode not quite the best compromise but I don't have to hear the engine overevving noise before upshifts.

"Overevving" is good. It tops up the battery so that the car has the on demand torque/burst of speed when you want it.
I guess you're just too used to the 1300~2500rpm noise. Get back into a 1.0/1.3L econobox, you'll keep hearing 3k+ rpm regularly.
Also, it hovers around there I think cause VTEC kicks in around there when you finally decide to floor it to past 3k rpm.

If you draw too much power from hybrid battery, you run the risk of depleting all of the energy bars and the car will run in degraded performance.

Kinda a limitation where we have to depend solely on the hybrid battery too much.

Just pace yourself and your car then it won't happen.
If you feel you gonna get into that region, keep above 20km/h and be in S mode to keep the battery charged.

I noticed that if i tekan Sports mode for hybrid, the car will not go into EV mode. So better dont do that cos i believe most fuel saving comes from EV mode

Do that just before entering a >5 minute jam to top up battery charge.
Just press S mode and hold pedal to 1 bar and slowly let the engine rev hard and charge while car is slowing down. Turn off S mode once hit below 15km/h.
This should be much more efficient than crawling at 0~10km/h when the battery has run out and is being forced charged.
Definitely much better option compared to slipping the clutch while crawling slowly while in forced charged condition.

Haha. My myvi 1.3 I usually only rev to 2800 rpm seldom past 3000 rpm. The hybrid engine sounds a bit rough at higher revs imho.

Yeah the engine very noisy, prrrrrrrrrt esp when car is new.
Wind down the window at low speed at residential area where you are flanked by cars and houses to reflect the sound, then S mode; can hear minigun at engine bay.
miniguns ! prrrrrrrrrt !

Err... isn't the point of hybrid is to economise the engine and saves on petrol? If revving too much and keeping to higher revs then it defeats the fuel saving purpose of the hybrid system.

Only happens in S mode; optional mode. Also remember, Honda Malaysia marketed this as a "SPORTS" Hybrid.

True.

But sometimes we want to feel the power of a “honda civic 1.8” but without buying the actual car itself via city hybrid S mode.

LoL!:P

The 1.8L power only comes when at standstill or a fresh EV gear change. It peaks at 1300~1500 EV RPM; "Instant" torque range is from 0->2000 EV RPM with 120~160(peak)~80 Nm as EV RPM increases to 2000RPM; then it tapers off to 60~30Nm after 2000RPM.
EV motor display; at the top right of the display.
So yeah... you only get bursts of 1.8L power, and it's sporadic. So much for "1.8L" eh ?
At least with a turbocharger, you'll get consistent power. Ours... weak ass hybrid motors = heh.
