If take Maxis package because want the TV is not a good decision. Of course take the TV is because want the Maxis Fiber.

Yup the model is AU7000.

This model is kinda sucks. Office had one for cctv and the viewing angle pretty small. A little off center already screen turned a bit white and gets worse once over 35-40 degree off center.

QUOTE(Iylia @ Jan 21 2022, 01:13 AM)
Looking for a new 65" TV around 4 - 6k budget, looking for best bang for buck
Mainly for movies / netflix
Some options I was looking at (from cheapest to most expensive)
Hisense U7G: RM 3,900
Samsung AU9000: RM 4,150
Sony X85J: RM 4,300
Samsung Q60AB: RM 5,050
Sony X90J: RM 5,900

I guess my question is it worth it to splurge more to go for FALD panel (X90J).
And the Hisense U7G is very good value with FALD, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos (but not many RL reviews for SEA version)

Thanks for your opinions
*
Dont buy Q60AB. Entry level. I also almost bought this but later found out Samsung Q60AB is just entry level QLED.

So which brand have the best motion generally...all this while i though it was sony...
*
LG oled should be the winner. I think got comparison on YouTube that sony 2021 x90j motion is not even as good as 2020 model namely x900h.

Still loves the colour from the x90j though. Even my wife also impressed.

*
Bought one last month... what is the problem?

Anyway, now no more Samsung raya promotion. Last month bought and redeem RM600 TNG.

This desahome reliable? Brand new stocks and not demo rite?
*
Desahome is reliable but demo unit or not very hard to say. One forumer complain until kpdndhep to ask them to exchange his demo unit of LG oled 48" to new.

X85l or lg qned 81

I am looking for 65 inch tv of thid model, price difference is about 500... Which tv is the best ya, pls advice
*
Why do you want to buy LG QNED 81? It is only Edge LED vs Full Array Local Dimming on X85L. If you can stretch your budget to 7k+, get the QN95C (now on sale for whatever reason) if you dont need Dolby Vision or Google TV. It is the latest miniled tv from Samsung with over 2000nits and 1000+ local dimming zones.

a unique need here, will be putting this TV in the bedroom and trying not to have a "black mirror" facing the bed.

so currently looking at Samsung The Frame 65"(QA65LS03BAK) @ RM6k. What I like is the Matte Surface, Art Mode (I think Chromecast has this also?) , Gold Bezel (additional) and that the inputs are in a separate box so only 1 wire to the TV means I can hide away the PS5 / speakers for a clean look .

Just wondering if any other TV has this "separate box" for inputs ? because I'm also planing on putting this setup (TV + speakers + console) on a wheeled sideboard in case I don't like having the TV in the room, at least I can place it in the outside hall ... or wheel it back in if I want to watch while lying down.
*
Connect box... only some top model have it. Samsung QN95B also have it. QN95C already revert to the back of the TV. Some bigger size LG oled tv also have connect box I think.

But I don't think you should hide it too much. The box ran quite hot. Better put it in a well ventilated space for it to dissipate heat. If burn, more jialat.

Went to Desa Home warehouse sale today...

65" C3 new RM8k display RM7.3k
65" X90L RM6.5k iirc 65" A80L RM8k
65QN95C RM7.7k or 7.8k while 75QN85C RM7.3k iirc

65" G3 is expensive, around RM15k iirc...

If you guys want smaller, they display 55" S95B for 4.3k iirc and they claim is new.

Also got TCL P745 75" and 85"... price is nice, 6k++ and 8k++ iirc... but I think it wasn't that impressive other than its size.

Checking with all sifus here.

My LG 55'' TV spoiled after 6 years so I am looking for a new one with 65'' size.

So far I have following model under my radar:

Sony X80L/X90L, LG UR90/QNED81, and TCL C645/C755.

2 questions that I would like to ask:

1. I heard a lot of feedback that recent new TV most the time can last only 3 years, then they most likely will start running into various issues, especially a panel issue, so I am really in a dilemma if I should just fix my budget around 3k-4k for a 3-years tv, or double the budget for a higher end model that might spoil in 3 years sad.gif

Under 3k, TCL C645 seems to be the most CP worth model to try out, the rest of the model start hitting into 5k - 6k range tho...

2. I ran into SenQ clearance with LG A3 model on sales for only Rm5999, with a RM1000 TNG code + 10% S-coin, lowering the tv price to RM4399 (retail price is ~Rm9k I believe), seems to be a good bargain but it is a display unit tho (although the salesman mentioned the warranty start after the purchase date), wonder if I should take this deal?

Thanks in advance!
*
Might as well pay the warehouse sale a visit... they are showing Samsung S95B 55" at RM4300. Its a much better panel (QD OLED) than the A3 but without dolby vision. They advertised as new unit but better ask them in person.

What is the best 65inch tv that I can get for a budget of less than 3k today? Saw many mentioned TCL C645 but seems it is discontinued already. Still worth to get it?
*
Can check Toshiba 65Z770KP 65Z670M (I think I made a mistake earlier... Z770 is old model I think) during 11.11 and see if there is any offer.

Last time I saw it cheap was during Onking warehouse sale around 3k... specs is pretty nice.

if 2025, what tv i shall look up for? This Z670MP looks good if it is only 2.8k, got high refresh rate, so can pair with PS5 too.

My usage is mainly Youtube, Netflix, Astro, PS5 , Nintendo Switch. I am looking at 65 inch

Dont really know... Didnt follow any news lately but you are just in time for Onking warehouse sale next week. Go there and have a look. Planning to go as well.

This year sale macam a bit disappointing. Bravia 3 and X85L. 65 inch X85L kinda expensive at RM3.7k. Macam mostly is low end.

they are. certainly.

depending on if one needs these features. if so one just need a basic TV, bravia 3 is still quite a ok choice.
5, 7, 9 since they are all mini-led and have same processor, 120hz display, the difference is solely on the contrast, brightness. find it a bit redundant to have so many different variants for the same type of panel (mini-LED).

but since OLED bravia 8 also has all these features that 5, 7, 9 have, and with OLED, it is superior in terms of picture quality, so it is still better.
*
I think other than the fact it still comes with VA panel (for 65inches), it is kinda disappointing that it does not even have local dimming.

My parents bought one for my OKU sister to watch because my sis (who worked in LG) kept promoting to my mom... 7K retail minus 2.8k tng IIRC.

Still prefer QN95B over this LG TV.

The homescreen... what a nightmare. Too many things to be honest. Can be simpler and cleaner. More like a desktop PC with many apps shortcuts.
