Some options I was looking at (from cheapest to most expensive)
Hisense U7G: RM 3,900
Samsung AU9000: RM 4,150
Sony X85J: RM 4,300
Samsung Q60AB: RM 5,050
Sony X90J: RM 5,900

I guess my question is it worth it to splurge more to go for FALD panel (X90J).
And the Hisense U7G is very good value with FALD, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos (but not many RL reviews for SEA version)

a unique need here, will be putting this TV in the bedroom and trying not to have a "black mirror" facing the bed.

so currently looking at Samsung The Frame 65"(QA65LS03BAK) @ RM6k. What I like is the Matte Surface, Art Mode (I think Chromecast has this also?) , Gold Bezel (additional) and that the inputs are in a separate box so only 1 wire to the TV means I can hide away the PS5 / speakers for a clean look .

Just wondering if any other TV has this "separate box" for inputs ? because I'm also planing on putting this setup (TV + speakers + console) on a wheeled sideboard in case I don't like having the TV in the room, at least I can place it in the outside hall ... or wheel it back in if I want to watch while lying down.

My LG 55'' TV spoiled after 6 years so I am looking for a new one with 65'' size.

So far I have following model under my radar:

Sony X80L/X90L, LG UR90/QNED81, and TCL C645/C755.

2 questions that I would like to ask:

1. I heard a lot of feedback that recent new TV most the time can last only 3 years, then they most likely will start running into various issues, especially a panel issue, so I am really in a dilemma if I should just fix my budget around 3k-4k for a 3-years tv, or double the budget for a higher end model that might spoil in 3 years

Under 3k, TCL C645 seems to be the most CP worth model to try out, the rest of the model start hitting into 5k - 6k range tho...

2. I ran into SenQ clearance with LG A3 model on sales for only Rm5999, with a RM1000 TNG code + 10% S-coin, lowering the tv price to RM4399 (retail price is ~Rm9k I believe), seems to be a good bargain but it is a display unit tho (although the salesman mentioned the warranty start after the purchase date), wonder if I should take this deal?

depending on if one needs these features. if so one just need a basic TV, bravia 3 is still quite a ok choice.
5, 7, 9 since they are all mini-led and have same processor, 120hz display, the difference is solely on the contrast, brightness. find it a bit redundant to have so many different variants for the same type of panel (mini-LED).

but since OLED bravia 8 also has all these features that 5, 7, 9 have, and with OLED, it is superior in terms of picture quality, so it is still better.
