Hello!

I'm joining the A1, after my long-battle with the Note 3 (4 years, battery also 4 years original it can only last nearly 1 hour 30 min and ngam ngam die when trade-in for A1 during phone check).

I'm was torn between Lenovo P2 and A1, unfortunately, there's isn't any Lenovo P2 for me to hold and feel (yes, I know can buy from Lazada. but I wanna hold and feel it)

Any sifus pro in Rooting + Xposed here? Titanium Backup? CF Lumen? Magisk? bypass Bank App?

note 3 kaki also.

Been using with Note 7 rom until now and will buy new battery soon.

Galaxy Note 3 really tahan, but it really worn out. In the beginning I willing to spend on Spigen curve screen protector (RM130 that time), when trade in, everything still intact! (except for the bezel color, color nia. but the store representative die die also cut me back RM100; I know can re-sell for RM400 as 2nd hand, but I doubt people will choose it, need COD some more, need time some more, better trade the time with money IMO).

I know this A1 camera ok-ok nia, but since I survived SGN3 camera, I think I can survive this. haha. (for those who didn't know, SGN3 camera not so good also, at the final-moment-when-you-press-the-camera-key, IF you shake-just-a-tiny-little-bit, photo blur komfom-100%)

Ah I see, I thought so too, as Samsung charger are good, they should've made it the output voltage and ampere according to standards.

Anyone hears a small rattle sound when you put down your phone on the table?

Mine seems to come from the SIM card's handles

Some other people also report same issue. http://c.mi.com/thread-460631-1-1.html

yeah sure no problem..
but the screen on time with wifi on constantly is very good.
The wifi on this phone is very fast and constant compared to my old honor 6.
better buy online only.
I've tried searching for cases all over subang. Not even 1 store selling them. Even if they do its not worth the money. selling around 40+
*
It's expensive because they need operation cost. But then we customers like to see and touch before purchasing, in the end we go for online due to being cheap. Oh the irony

I learned my lesson of buying online when I purchase my Dell laptop, FN and ctrl key switch, immediately turn-off the mood of unboxing

First thing I would suspect Android permission thingy, try look it in settings for App Permission.

Later I'll try simulate your problem if I could reproduce it.

Please tell your steps in details so we may try to reproduce it.

That's why I bought the Mi A1 actually. To try stock Android. But I read some reviews that the Mi A1 does have some Mi bundled apps, like a Remote Control (since it has an IR blaster), Camera app (stock Android app doesn't support dual camera), etc. Any user here has further comments on these Mi Apps?

My A1 have Mi Remote Control and successfully use it on air-conditioning in my room.

A few item bought from ckystore from shopee.

1. Imak full cover tempered glass - good quality, truly full cover with no hollow effect, ease apply ( i only apply 3 S.P in my whole life), not fingerprint resistant.

2. Imak phone cover (sandy stone) - sandy touch feel good but cover not provide protection when falling. A bit regret bought this but using this cover.

3. Durable full protection TPU cover - really durable, much more thicker than imak cover. resistant on 4 corner of phone is stronger since thicker TPU.

4. Remax usb c cable. - data transfer is workable, quality is better than the original cable.

Conclude, hope RM930 + RM64 close to 1000  is able to serve me well in the upcoming yrs. I miss the 11.11 lazada sales, i bought anthr one for my brother at 800 frm G-store at frdy late nite which is a good deal and Device arrived today at JB.

Which screen protector you bought from CKY? They got 2

MOFi 9H 2.5D Full Coverage

GOR Tempered Glass (didn't wrote full coverage)

I'm interested in the full covereage. Does it lose touch-screen sensitivity?

Thanks! notworthy.gif

I already applied tempered glass, but it's not fully. So want to peel it off and reapply another one.

Anyone have the experience of peeling off the tempered glass? Does it leaves sticky residue? How to clean it off? Any tips on leverage the glass off the screen? or having balls to do it is enough liao bruce.gif

I bought the imak brand. But, this mofi brand seem quite ok since it have oil repellent layer and 2.5D should be no hollow effect. cleaning tool accessories also have.

What cleaning accessory CKY sells? The oleophobic is not forever isn't? It'll wear off.

Can share whats the advantage of rooting pure android phone.. if worth it i also wanna try

I use it mainly for Titanium Backup. Easy to backup/restore apps.

I use few important apps from F-Droid (ahem). Xposed grants more options like remapping the soft keys.

It happens. biggrin.gif I also sked of failing, my OCD kicks in with those unsightly bubbles.

I find phones these days quite resistant, no need SP.

Now my concern is - can I swap the menu and back button? sad.gif
*
Hi notworthy.gif

With root it's possible, GravityBox. But if you're concerned about warranty then I have no idea how to swap the capacitive keys. Usually Android phone line BACK key is on the left and RECENT key is on the right of the home button.

I'm rooted, didn't swap my capacitive keys but turn off the backlit (it's annoying for me on ANY phone). From what I understand, rooting and unlocking bootloader only stops xiaomi from covering warranty on software side, but doesn't void for the warranty on hardware side. CMIIW

Well, it aren't a big deal since some guy in XDA manage to create a systemless root called Magisk, furthermore the bootloader can be re-locked after un-root.

It was reported it is possible to have OTA update while rooted as Magisk, not via SuperSU ( chainfire passed/sold his product to China company though, beware)

Damn, my phone drop in water .
Do have any warranty for that or where should I send for fixing ?
*
Wa, they have a bag inside the phone. If they open up and know that the bag is "wet" they'll know that this phone has exposed yo water, and they'll void the hardware warranty.

Have you put it into rice bag? Rice absorb moisture.

You're nice lo, because your cellular reception is good. Better cellular reception = better battery life, it's tested and proven in XDA. Even when you're not using Internet 2G/3G/4G, the reception has an effect on battery life.
