i have problem with my 6400. after restarting the com , load windows, and it hang as in the pic. black screen with mouse pointer where and able to move it. but cant do anything else. anyone know what is the problem?

Did you try booting at safe mode ?

Maybe ur window corrupted..i suspect.

safe mode no problem. i have just reformat it to win xp. now installing driver. no problem liao

Good to hear that it's fine in state.Normally it's because of some program conflict with some startup program where you can boot at safe mode.

That meanz my judgement got abit accurate.

You mean the screen resolution changed?

Yea..Whenever i close the lid and open it again the screen reso will chang into the bigger one..Dunno what caused it to happen..

Recently i got a probelm.Im using windows vista ultimate 32bit and my battery very short.Im using 9cell lion..last time use winxp can archieve 6hrs+ in idle.Now in idle 100% battery can reach 2hrs+ only. Really somethings wrong with it..and the CPU clock speed never utilize the intel speed step feature.It keep at 1.6GHZ and wont drop.. Help.

So how do i solve my "Screen Reso change when close lid" problem?

let's say ur lappy got prob and Dell technician come to check..will void the warranty of some parts if Dell checked and suspect the new RAM is the culprit for the problem.

It dont see helps alot.I put power saver,the screen brightness turn low abit and the battery level also not increasing dramatically..juz few mins extra increased.

yea. sure can extend. but should extend before ur warranty ends. if warranty ends edy got limited time for u to extend plus need to pay extra recertification fees.
