Not quite so. It is not only useful during emergency but for day-to-day use too. Until today most people still don’t respond to WhatsApp right away. And when you need an answer urgently, to call directly is the only way to go. Call is also important to those doing sales such as bankers, property agents, insurance agents etc. I also think it is important to those doing part-time Uber and Grab. I’ve been in situation so many times that they want to save money by not calling me when they can’t locate me. So they sent me a WhatsApp message or a message within the Uber/Grab app itself. But there were a few times I didn’t get the message as there the internet was unstable. In such situation they could had called me but they didn’t. So my biggest problem with people doing sales is that many of them are willing to spend so much money on data yet they are not willing to spend money to get a good call plan.


No it doesn’t. I don’t need to make an IDD call often but when I do, it is to call banks in Hong Kong or Singapore. And IDD 132 is the only way to call these banks cheaply.

Wait for him to reply you. Once you receive a reply from him that it’s done, then you can go to DiGi Store to get your new SIM (if you don’t already have one) and register for your choice of AMB Plan.

The “secret” DiGi Postpaid 38 Plan definitely comes with better value compared to AMB38. Even DiGi Kaki Social pass offered in DiGi Prepaid is already better than AMB38. But I’m staying put in AMB38 for the time being as I hope DiGi will upgrade this plan in the near future.

I’m also hoping Digi will increase the data quota to 5GB a month for AMB38.

Anyway, Digi was a lot more proactive and creative when it was under the leadership of its ex-CEOs from Scandinavia. I’m hoping for a new blood from Telenor office in Scandinavia to come to head Digi once again.

This dude needs to go and be replaced by someone from Scandinavia office. He's been serving as the CEO of Digi for long enough. All previous Scandinavian CEOs did a much better job managing the company.

But the local is not talented I don't have the full detail of remuneration package of the current CEO but he's handsomely compensated too. It's just like the case with Cathay Pacific Airways. Since the airline was founded in year 1946, it never had a Chinese CEO despite being a Hong Kong based carrier until 2013. But the Chinese did a terrible job running the airline and he was finally replaced by another Englishman last year. Sorry OT again.


As the CEO of a public listed company, it is his responsibility to focus on bringing the best return to the shareholders. So focusing on improving APRU is correct.

However, Digi hasn't been itself since Albern Murty took over. It has largely been a follower and has been offering call plans that its network couldn't afford to offer, putting a huge burden on its network in the quest of becoming the largest telco in Malaysia by subscriber base and to improve its APRU. Digi has also been doing a lot of cost cutting too of late. For instance, it no longer offers round the clock customer service support. The hotline now works only from 6am - 1am everyday. Ridiculous.

Nei. It was more like to give credit where credit is due. The reality is that all the mentioned CEOs including that of Cathay Pacific just happen to be white. At Singapore Airlines however, SIA was at its best when it was run by Malaysian CEO. SIA is not like what it was since Chew Choon Seng era.

I see. So this is a Merdeka special ? I made a few downloads this morning. Initially it did not eat into my 15GB quota. But later I saw my 15GB quota redeuced by 4GB even though my last download was made at 11am today which shall still be under unlimited internet Gemilang.

If she’s still on Ambassador list. Yes. Otherwise she needs a fresh nomination. You need at least one active Ambassador subscription at all times to maintain your Ambassador status.

As mentioned, you need to keep one active Ambassador plan subscription. If this AMB68 is your sister only Ambassador plan she’s currently subscribed to and she upgrades her Postpaid plan to Digi Infinite 150, then she will need a fresh nomination again should she wishes to go back to Ambassador 68 next time.

Unfortunately no.

The publicly available Digi Postpaid 58 is better than Digi Ambassador 38. Anyway, just request to port-out and wait for Digi to call you.
