For a budget of 200, would you get a SSD (2.5") or HDD for longevity?
*
what gives you the idea that HDD will last longer?

Sandisk.OS @ Shopee may have a pricing glitch, intentionally or not, selling 2TB for around RM120 and 1TB around RM60 (RM75 for Ultra 3D). It happened passed midnight and item are now sold out.

Hi guys,

Want to ask my board Asus B250F can't detect my new WD SN500, is there any driver need to install or any setting?

Tried everything but still failed. Could be the drive faulty?

Thanks.
*
Is it detected in UEFI?

Will this help?

Hi guys, can anyone recommend a 1tb ssd to put into MSI gp75 9se?
I just got this today and i was thinking of going full ssd on it.

1tb ssd on the market isn't so expensive anymore but i'm still a noob in ssd since i came from all hard drive system.

want something cheap?
Patriot Burst 960GB
remember not to buy a DRAM-less ssd unless you only use it for data hoarding.

dont buy dubiously cheap SSD, because might have poor performance (shitty flash controller and nand chip), no firmware support, no driver support

will u avoid Silicon Power?

The biggest culprit is my WD Black 1TB followed by my newly bought Toshiba N300 4TB. Both exhibit this constant "humming" noise even after being dampened by my Fractal R6. It's the HDD making the noises because after I unplugged them my pc became dead silent. I think the constant noise are the "operational noise" of the HDD spinning.
*
are you sure it's not the front panel door that is buzzing?

I dont know about you, but I miss those noise....

I still remember my P4 jet engine days sad.gif
When first upgraded to Core2, no noise, I thought PC died....
then got SSD, no HDD spin up sound, also thought PC died.....
now, RGB lighting is a must, otherwise will think PC died laugh.gif

no LED light on USB thumbdrive = didn't know there's virus silently transferring data sad.gif

Hi, I am having Asus H110m-K motherboard. I am looking to upgrade my SSD. I am a casual gamer with mostly play dota 2 and some graphics game like horizon or wasteland 3.
But i have few options

1. SATA SSD or Nvme?
2. If my motherboard not allow for nvme, what can i do so it can support nvme in mean time? before i upgrade to better motherboard.
3. And last which brand or which nand ssd i should buy?

my budget around Rm 300. and i looking 512gb ssd

tq
*
1. SATA
2. Just stay with SATA. PCIE card for NVME SSD may not work for everybody.
3. Crucial MX500 or Patriot Burst
Avoid DRAM-less SSD. Paying more is worth it.

Hey guys. Anyone using WD SN550 1TB SSD? Any comment? This NVME SSD seems to be priced near to SATA SSD.

being sata/nvme doesn't mean it will be cheaper or more expensive. the current trend is not like 3 years ago.
