Brader azam, ribuan terima kasih atas undangan mulia tuan. Saya amat terharu atas budi baik tuan terutamanya mempelawa orang asing seperti saya bersama teman teman yang namun sebelum ini kami pun belum bersua muka dan berkenalan. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€ŸπŸ˜Š

I haven't yet tried cycling up mountains thousands metres high before, but small hilly terrain of few meters and low gradient but short distance got la. Your ultegra can la... My one only 8 speed claris, I scared I run out off gears.... Later I carry bike on shoulder and walk Macam badut... Kemaluan besar πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Mohon ampun patik ya, tuan. πŸ™

Lol. Haha... Almost forget about fishing reels. Those younger days of mine fishing was my hobby too.

Shimano Tiagra.... Deep fishing class reels! Similar group to penn senator or even international class.

I'm having Penn 910 or 920 level matic, I think, kept in cabinet some where. Gold colour casing, still in pristine condition 😊🀟

Fuh! this is elite spin casting reel...
But I very much prefer bait casting reels. Furthermore bait casting reels more suitable for trolling. Abu Garcia has plenty of nice looking reels. Any way preferences are subjected to individuals. Hehe.... Ok. That's it for fishing. Let's return to bicycle. πŸ˜ŠπŸ€πŸ˜‚

its old rail road. and im the folding small wheels riding with rb. like i said before, i always be the technical person if there any problem.
yap. its in karai!
verge p9 originally is 406 like mine.verge d9 is original 451

if the verge p9 is 406, u can used tern minivelo wheels but
1. fork need to extend to 100mm (not all mechanics can do). original p9 is 74mm and minivelo is 100mm. mine is carbon fork with 100mm opening.
2. need to change brake either road caliper brake or long arm vbrake

then come and meet us this 28th September. no need to cycle lah.. meetup lepakΒ² for a while flaq off us to fraser. u can see many folding bike there with many setup πŸ€”
20 got 2 size, its 451 and 406. in china or few other country, they called 20 451 as 22”. if u referring 20" as 406, it cant be fit to 451. but the tube can (with some stretching and adjustment)

my friend last time had xds 710 with 22" wheels and not 451. its hard to get spare tube, tyre or even wheelset. so he downgred to 451.
*
Thanks... Many thanks brader Azam.
Last Friday I cycled up a few hill slopes to try whether I can go uphill. Fuh!.... Really challenging and tiring for old fag like me. Lol! Frankly, I cycle flat roads all the time one. But the hill I tried just about 62m maximum elevation high only (at the peak) and I was struggling edi. I did 3 times on the same inclination height though. Have to tell you it's Not easy.... πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
But I love the downhill section , way over 50kmh....🀟One Wild downhill ride πŸš΄πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ. I don't think I want to do it again🀭... I know how it feels with 5 broken ribs the last time. My helmet koyak too. Lucky helmet protected my head. *touch wood *. Now I ride ever more careful. 😜😜😜

i used 10s also didnt use all gear bro. what more to add another gear? i used 10s coz the close casette ratio each jump 1t. rarely i used the biggest casette coz already had 39t chainring.

user posted image

oh ya, as u can see i used 10s 11-25 ultegra casette.
*
Tuan azam, one question about gearing I'm puzzled.
my current 50/34 chain ring pairing with 8s 11-32 and if I change to 52/36 pairing with 11s 11-34.

would climbing using the second smaller chain ring be harder or same or easier, If I use the last cassette of 34t against the 32t?

for what i can see,..
both are the same. only the different i think is, the small chainring 36t is much more torque used than the 34t. not that much lor, and u may not noticed it coz the casette used is balance it back.

the benefit u will get extra top speed on the 52t!
*
Ribuan terima kasih di atas pandangan tuan dan penjelasan yang berharga.
I have been thinking and thinking for weeks to change to 105 groupset.

ur wheelset is 11s ready?then get a tiagra also good enough lor rclxm9.gif
*
Incredibly, yes my wheel set are 11s compatible after I checked with the bike mechanics 🚲so I don't need to upgrade wheels. ☺️ To my surprise, Even BB also no need changing, can use back. Furthermore... My 3 years old stock bar tape also in good condition, can use back. πŸ˜‚

As per your recommendation for Ultegra, I think I don't want to spend that much. I want to save some money. Besides, my home minister won't approve. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

usually, people either get the tiagra or ultegra. most of the 105 usually came with bike as OEM, thus making it less popular for upgrade. if u want to save ur budget, go for tiagra, thus tiagra is popular groupset upgrade for most of folding bikes. thumbup.gif

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Tuan, Lemme think first. I'm in no rush
! Must get my home Minister Approval first πŸ™
Ultegra is over my budget.
I see 105 is a cost efficient work horse preferred by intermediate and higher riders.

seriously,
save ur budget and go forr tiagra instead of 105. for me ultegra much more better in smooth shifting, better braking and lightweight. the different between 105 and tiagra are not that much lor, unless u can scout cheap2 105 used. if new, i would suggest tiagra or ultegra.

Terima kasih cadangan mulia tuan
