No, approximately RM30k was what the personnel at Taylors worked out for me.  This is the amount to be paid to them and it does not include food and living expenses.

HELP would cost around RM25k and UCSI around RM23k.  All this is excluding food and accommodation.

My friend took 4 subjects, staying at the hostel, sharing a room with one person..
he spent around 30-34k...
That's a lot of money for a year and a half programme XDD!!

Tumpang kejap =D. Just to do a little survey. Which college for A-levels in whole Malaysia(I really meant everywhere in Malaysia) is overally the best among all. Overall as in facilities, ratio teacher to student, international students, fees, and so on in other aspects. Feel free to suggest.

AFAIK, only HELP and UCSI offer the modular A-levels (the London Edexcel GCE A-levels).  All other colleges are offering the Cambridge A-Levels.  I suggest TS read up on these two programmes before making a decision.

And if money is not a problem, you can choose between Taylors (Cambridge A-levels) and HELP (Edexcel A-levels).  The less expensive A-levels programmes would be at INTI or TARC.

Don't forget that KBU also offers the London Edexcel GCE A-levels. Is it a good place to pursue A-levels there? The university/college and tuition fees (Estimation) but not included living fees:

3 Modules:
Non-Lab subjects:RM 16750
Lab Subjects: RM 18250 (if you take bio chem and physics)

Lab fees, RM 500 for one science subject

4 Modules:
Non-Lab Subjects: RM 19750
Lab subjects: RM 21250 (if you take bio chem and physics) << considered all lab subjects.

Pretty exp though. But still is the duration between London Edexcel and Cambridge is different?

i personally suggest sunway. I feel it has a better study environment compare to taylor (just my opinion...dun flame me for this, lol). and for those who says that only rich ppl go sunway la, they are lanci la,dun study one la. Well in a-level at least, most of the ppl i met were those that are hardworking and friendly. we take a-level wat, of coz got nerd abit one la. so u shouldn't expect them to be that bad.

Taylor is the best A level collge ever... majority of ours knew that the reputation and the track record are dam good compared to other college's.. but also Taylor is also one of the most expensive college in whole M'sia... Plain A level(duration 1.5 years) cost around 30-40k include living cost and so on...Plus you are hard to fit in the sociaty if you are like not super rich(golden key)... i went for the open day... students are driving BMW to college... quite a number... but not all.. XD

But this is last year news... because this year's A level's lecture are change... So you on your own ... that all info i can giv about Taylor... GOOD LUCK on CHoosing the Right College...

Currently Having Diploma in Business Studies(Accounting) 1st year in TARC..

It is possible that they are ignorant as well. Though back when I was in Taylor's, there were only a small bunch of them altogether, that it shouldn't be addressed as a problem at all.

Large names, though hard to say that they provide the best quality, can at the very least give you a peace of mind, for they have a stable standard.

Is A-Lvls better than Ausmat/SAM? Well you do learn additional things, but it is after all generally an extra half year if you do it at the cookie-cutter institutions. There are ways to drop it to one year, IIRC, but that's beside the point.

Another board of A-Levels (forgot which, London?) allows retaking of individual modules so at least you do not have to go for a whole year just for a failed sub. And otherwise, a point which a couple of forumers did mention was getting 4As is easier than obtaining a 99.xx TER (Medcine TER, roughly). So... take your pick.
*
can someone clarify the TER and obtaining As part? to get As, we just have to meet the grade right? hmm and i heard Taylors only gives the grade, while HELP gives the grade plus actual score. to get into prestigious Uni's, TERs of 90+ is a must right? (not science related career) Can SAM subjects be retaken like A levels?

where is Kolej Yayasan UEM to be voted? lol, I know that KYUEM is not as famous as taylors and others but, I would say that it's the bestest college ever.

Out of the previous top 30 students sponsored as national scholars in spm last year, 23 of them were sent to kyuem. Being a student there for myself, I would say the quality of education and management and even the bond between the students there are a five star rated.

You'll feel like living in a family community where everybody there knows everybody. There are only 300+ students, 138 in my batch. You'll be living in a chalet of four rooms, given a private room each and a common room with aircond. There are house systems there and I would say that the house spirit there is totally overwhelming. biggrin.gif
