Yea, after I burned my cds I got a notice telling me that that was the only copy I could make... but what if they didn't burn properly or something? I haven't had the chance to check (and how would I, unless I tried to recover using them?) blink.gif

Anyone know how much a set of recovery cds cost if I order some from HP?

My Avast started blaring warning sirens as soon as I plugged a camera (or well, the cam's memory card) that contained a virus in... I don't think I changed any settings though.

Avast is free too. I initially wanted to use AVG, as that's what I usually use, but I tried to download it from several different sites and I couldn't install it on my Vista Home Premium. It just kept telling me there was something missing in the download/installation file. sweat.gif

How's the sound quality when recording with the dual microphones next to the webcam? I've had people tell me that it's (very very very) soft and unclear (basically impossible to talk) when I'm sitting and talking in front of my laptop (with the mic set at full volume)... but they can understand me clearly when I plug a mic into the jack (so it can't be Skype/Vista and driver compability issues).

Anyone else having a similar experience, or do I have faulty mics? o.O

*does some testing with the sound recorder*

Maybe it has to do with your mobo being replaced... since it's OEM the OS should recognize your laptop right (but now with a different mobo maybe it doesnt)? Before you got it replaced you didn't have a problem? Did you un/reinstall Vista at any point? o.O
