How do you maintain such high rating and how do you keep your spirit high?

My rating has always been above 4.9 before, but it went downhill this week.

My rating was 4.95 Last Sunday, up from 4.92 the week before. Now, it went down to 4.88 on Wednesday and it's 4.87 today. I don't know what went wrong and this has really dampen my spirit to drive.

I've been with Grab for two months now and this week is the first time ever I opted in for HG. I feel way relaxed when I was a flexi driver before although my nett profit is better with HG right now(never knew it was possible before, what more with an Exora).

Should I take some time off the wheel to heal my spirit? Thanks.

Hi guys.

I started the day with my left foot. Received a request from KDN to KL RM40. At first I accepted it, a minute later I canceled it because I had to go to Kajang.

I left my Grab app on for the whole 57 minutes while running errands in Kajang. At minute 58th, a request came in. I was hoping it would be a RM4 fare(free Rm24 incentive) but turns out to be RM28 towards Kuchai. Ok la, was about to accept it when suddenly got a call from the hospital.

1 canceled ping, 1 ignored ping, 0 trip, and now I'm already in my bed. Suddenly felt feverish.

A bit feverish with flu, classic symptoms of sinusitis.

You're right, it's better to stay at home until my health is back. Being a Grab driver does feel like a construction worker sometimes.

I once sent a Bangladeshi rider from Putrajaya to Seremban 2 back in August/September for ~RM45. He belanja me Nescafe tarik and gave me RM50 ktc.

I thought it was a good deal, until I heard about Grab's higher fare a few weeks after. Byebye U 😂

I think there might be an ounce of truth in your statement there.

I've been a flexi driver for quite some time and I only get 2-3 pings that are more than RM30 per week in Putrajaya. This is my second week as a HG driver and would you believe it, every single day there will be at least, yes at least, two pings above RM30 in Putrajaya per day.

The ones that I can remember yesterday and today are KDN-KL RM40, Putrajaya-Wangsa Maju RM49 and Putrajaya-EO Suites RM60. Had it not been due to time constraint, I would've eaten them all instead of ignoring them 😭

My yesterday's 4pm-5pm block recorded 0 minute of driving eventhough it's showing there is one trip worth RM15 🤔 (57 minutes if I'm not mistaken).

Anybody else facing the same problem?

Picked up 5 PRC students from UPM heading towards IOI City Mall.

Upon reaching their pick up point, it was raining. While they were boarding my Exora, one PRC guy came with a box of sliced fruits and was trying to sell them fruits. They went out of my car and went on to choose which fruit to buy, all the while leaving my car doors opened wide and eventually my car seats were soaking with rain drops.

I wanted to let it go, so I just did my job and sent them to IOI safely. When I reached home, I found out that one of the riders left a wet plastic wrapper in the back seat side pocket. No wonder my car smelled rotten.

How do you guys handle riders like these? Last time I picked up four mapren girls from IOI and sent them to Seri Kembangan. I'm okay with them being loud but they spilled popcorns underneath the carpet 😠

I nearly voiced out my mind but then my DR was 4.88 at that point of time. I'm still a bit traumatized since that day when my DR dropped from 4.96 all the way to 4.87 in one day 😅

Easy to go down but very hard to go back up again.

Tried to outsmart Grab's HG game, but in the end I got screwed left and right by my own game. Final AR was 74%. Should've stopped at 6pm but greed got the better of me. So, byebye RM70 incentive 😂🤣

My game was undone when I accepted a request from IOI City going to Nottingham University. Took me more than an hour to get there and to get out of there... But the Sundanese student made the trip worthwhile.

Beautiful(model-like no kidding), bubbly, charming, talkative and she likes to laugh out loud everytime I pull off my punchlines. I'm not good-looking so it's only natural for me to compensate my short-coming by knowing how to make girls laugh 😎 Everytime I speak, she will come closer to my seat.

These Sundanese girls are really something else I tell you. Luckily I'm committed to my marriage. Who knows what this could us into 😓

I've been doing Grab since October and I don't think I have ever received tips from more than 5 female riders.

Most of the tips I get are from male riders, and would you ever guessed it? Most of them are Arabs. Whenever I go to Seri Kembangan, the Arabs will usually request those RM4-6 trips and they like to pay with RM10 ktc. Last night I camped at South City from 12am-1.30am and only managed to do 6 trips - 5 Arabs and 1 Bangladeshi. Collected RM32 fare and RM25 tips.

Speaking broken Arabic does have it perks I guess 😉

I love it when riders make small nice gestures like that 👍

Still, the best case of tips I've ever seen is from this one Uber driver in Facebook who took a drunk rider from Zouk and sent him to Damansara if I'm not mistaken.

The fare was 20++ but the rider gave him RM300 and told him to keep the change 😅

How long did it take to complete that trip?

Once I dropped off a rider at Gardens and got a ping from North Court. Took me 35 minutes to reach there.

I won't do it anymore.

Have they paid yet?

I've heard of this before but there has been too many times where my credit limit was RM20 max and I've got pings worth RM50 and above.

Or the system might also choose the most good-looking driver based on driver's profile picture 🤣
