Guys, anyone of you ever got stopped by police roadblock while fetching foreign riders?? Just kena this evening...near Kelana Jaya LRT. Two indo rider, one boy one girl. Police ask for all our ID...then ask the indo rider why passport got no chop updated...then ask them to pay the fare and get out of the car!

I ask the police how, should I come back fetch them...he just said no need and sent me away...called Grab..explained what happend, CS checked with supervisor and said that as long as fare was paid the trip can be completed and press dropoff...

Felt bad for the riders tho...still halfway from their destination. Actually I saw on Waze already the police roadblock notification while waiting to turn but I was blur and by the time I realized it already Police saw us...

Today got TWO matched GS trips...1st one in morning, no issue, completed in half hour. Both riders regular commuters no problem.

Evening 2nd one...2 Arab students(~20 yrs old) as 1st pax, a bit slow coming down from condo but otherwise OK. OTW to matched rider , called him saying reaching already: "Ok boss".
Reached there..see 4 banglas...I thought one of them only would come in since he put ONE pax. Then he approached window and ask why inside got other passengers, how his friends going to fit inside? Tell him about GS, terus xcel as more then 2 pax showed up for the reason.

First passengers also frus...."SMH, wasting time la"....luckily otw to the destination not far not jammed and we managed to chat abit, so should be OK. They even make a joke about putting the extra passengers in the boot..

you think riders scared no drivers? today got b2b job while dropping off pax at bangsar South condos. she was at gateway mall. I put in chat "I'm dropping off nearby can you wait 5 mins?"
she replies where? then tells me her app says 10 mins. I replied OK then she terus cancel. this was at 8pm, traffic dying down already, yet still red everywhere there. really wanted this $4 job as it was near the end of the hour block. 😣😢

actually riders simply cancel when they think got lots of drivers.. last Saturday night even I was 3 mins away just need to make u turn also they cancel.

Ya..but if you read the other posts also claim some drivers gaming the system to push fare up....haih never ending tactics between customer and drivers...lol

You dont need to use Google maps to have the timeline, as long as you have Googla maps installed and location turned on and location history selected in the settings for Google maps. I use Waze as my GPS for Grab.

true true...but you know there are also some unscrupulous drivers out there gaming the system...completing rides without pax, asking for extra topup, side deals etc etc...just go FB.

Not sure if root cause is low fare or because malaysians just love to game whatever system that is come up with...

BUT seriously I think once the e-hailing industry is registered and law stabilize, the max surge rate WILL be regulated ...just like they are considering doing in other countries (if not already).

Starting from Last Friday evening I noticed the B2b seems to behave more like before, (mostly) will give next pickup near to the first rider dropoff. However if you are in very high density area like KL city center, still dare not turn on available button until after dropoff.

LIke yesterday...I forgot to turn off available button, while in transit with pax at NPE passing by Angkasapuri, got B2b ping at Gardens mall, which is great since first rider also dropoff at midvalley.

OTOH....the case where the rider cancelled after I asked her if can wait 5min....ping received while we were passing by KL gateway mall OTW to Pantai PH dropoff. If you know that place...you know have to round back thru Jln Kerinchi again...if not jammed, no problem only 3 mins can reach F1 style....

so it means if b2b booking.. don't chat with the second Rider at all until first Rider drop off, that way grab won't send any info to the second Rider?
