I get it too....
Grabcar SMS is really sometimes  heart attack
*
you got it just now?

I then called again, this time another cs told me to just reply to the feedback form about the job ID... confused.gif icon_question.gif

OTOH up to today I still not receive the GRab passenger summary weekly email... called before and they said to go to head office to fix issue....too lazy.

First time ever get a Genting ping... $117, distance 55km according to waze, reach in one hour. Demand surcharge $16. Ping was at 6.40pm. ALready done two jobs that hour, incentive for 6-8pm burned. After drop off, jalan jalan and eat there in the resort. Expensive even fast food. Turned on app but no ping for half hour, left at 930pm. Probably if I spend all night in casino until morning will get a ride back to KL. biggrin.gif

NOt sure if worth it, some more my car axia, I warned the customers first before picking them up my car is small but they were OK with it since they were only two pax. Engine really straining and SLOW near the resort.
VEry rare for non premium/Six seater to get genting ping, mine only after almost 1500 trips. Must be a lot of credit wallets not enough balance to go Genting today biggrin.gif

Best to get uber app... sometimes grab no pings but uber give u ping in area like genting.

But it could be trip within genting itself such as from premium outlet to first world hotel etc. which the fares are so so consider high petrol consumption and straining on engine. If lucky can get ping back to KL.

Good thing is parking is foc.

I have a second phone , was considering installing uber on that, but since grab made the rule that once caught no more GA forever, I scared already...never know if Uber and GRab one day share info...
Maybe if the day when I graduate to flexi sifu status that can fish $400 a day, then I will install Uber rclxms.gif

INcidentally I checked the GRab rider app while I was there, there were ten other cars around the hotel....

No lah.

example ok

user posted image

Monday
12PM block
PEAK
total gross guarantee : RM 13 - RM30

u start work ( meaning u click AVAILABLE button ) at 12PM until 1230PM

within that time frame ( 30 minutes ) you completed 2 trips

so u get RM 20 ( refer to the chart ) / 2 ( 30 minutes )

so total incentive from Grab is RM 10

correct me if I am wrong
*
wrong
total guaranteed amount for that thirty minutes is $10 since he completed two jobs. if his total fares from those two jobs exceeds $10 he gets no incentive. if his fares less then$10 then grab will top up the difference to$10, hence this is the meaning of incentive.

hhhmmm..... no wonder many opt for flexi instead of pro biggrin.gif
*
why don't you try driving first and then see whether it's easier to make $ from flexi vs incentive. no right or wrong answer depends on where you live, drive and your personal preference.

regarding the overcharging sms...already check and it is way back to 3 weeks ago when I pick up one rider in Shah alam ....for sure I didn't collect any excess payment from them.

My best guest is that some cheapskate rider just hope to get some refund/ free promote code from grab by making nonsense complaint.

Well..only thing I could do is to provide written  feedback to grab cs. At the means times I am quite impressed with crapcar efficiency.
*
I not only give feedback, I write email with three separate screenshot of the job history showing it was grab pay AND promo code... customer paid nothing!
grab email back say they will escalate to driver relation.

probably they prioritize jobs to GA. ANyway TTDI PJ area was quite slow for monday evening, probably not everyone back to full working mode yet.

can teach?

maybe i dint deduct the comission?

which was wrong ?ll

you have to consider the number of jobs completed in that hour. please wait until you receive your GA/GP incentive and see if it matches your calculation, then only give advice to noobs.
many examples, just refer to my last reply post #3080 and you can see I correct another poster calculate wrongly.
incidentally I've been calculating my incentive and it's always within a few dollars of the actual amount (difference is due to a few mins online discrepancy).

as the new law spells maximum 5 years car age for e-hailing for new driver/e-hailing company [not exisiting one]

it is no point join this business model - drive for them, help them paid car instalment, then cars become yours later as it will be "no use" for e-hailing after 5 years and the conditions of cars also not nice already after that long daily time biz usage, simply saying "NOT WORTH"

remember got singapore company which bought a lot of cars first then wanna rent out to drivers but then failed, selling out those car cheap cheap

uber shuts down leasing program

"The “unlimited miles” allowed drivers to work long days and return vehicles with way too many miles, which kills the resale value. Also, if drivers got frustrated with their pay and quit their gig and returned the vehicle, the car might be 7 months old and have 20,000 miles on it, and be worth only a fraction of Uber’s depreciated book value of the car."

huh, wonder why he suggest ppl do in that old tradisional pattern everything start zero from queue

since we now got:

step 1: online registration + online document submission
step 2: online video class/lessons
step 3: online test

all these 3 can be done comfortably at your home

completed the above 3, then final step 4 just go jaya one to validate document, as some dislike outsiders because feel better/more confident do it in HQ. Some dislike register with Alpha also.

if start zero after step inside hq office, slow slow wait lah...

also the HQ validation actually not too focused on document but more on your phone model entry by the time you register online. validation is fast, a few minutes. just a bit waiting time for your turn, but since once in lifetime lah registration ok lah, be familiar a bit with the office environment also good - which part for registration, which part handle partners (existing driver). see crews face ...
*
that's what I did, but I think process will be a bit more mafan if your car is not new and have to go inspection. still waited about half hour in q before they validated my form.
also I think the in person training might be a good thing, I cincai watch/read the manual about using the app... when first job come in panic as don't know how to get directions/press pickup 😂🤣

MYVI 3rd generation is coming up 1 or 2 months to go

same Bezza engine so same fuel efficiency, no more K3-VE

so it is better than Axia in terms of platform comfort ability

but pricing decides everythings
*
NOt sure how Myvi fits in the Perodua lineup now....same price range as Bezza, but smaller. Cannot lower price to Axia range else cannibalize...Is like Proton Iriz...5-10k more expensive then new saga!

myvi stopping production ady. axia also the same. new
myvi will be replacing the axia.

*
can't be la, they just introduce new engine to axia with facelift beginning of this year and demand is still very strong. furthermore the new Myvi will have 1.3 and 1.5l engine, hence still need a 1l segment car.
new myvi news

link above, wah 1.5l engine same as Toyota Vios...

I did not give my uber account at all. The only way they going to know is by getting info from uber itself. Do u think they do that?
*
they can generate a list of usernames and automate the login process... if your username exist then a "wrong password " response will be found, else an "account does not exist" will be found instead. quite easy for them to generate a dictionary of your likely username.
