you have to declare your withdrawals from luno into your tax declaration.

so the way i look from here, easy part is tax on buying and sellling transaction. Dont care u profit or not. Concept is similar like KLSE

KLSE will include some sort of fees and tax on each transaction.
This including with dividend pay out as well. To summarise, tax on buying, selling & get dividend

Actually we've always had stringent AML/KYC policies so from our perspective -- we have been playing by the rules. Anyway, our higher management continues to engage with Maybank to resolve this asap.
Actually, we think the guideline issued is a positive step. Though it stops short of "regulation," but at least it gives some guidelines. Agreed that KYC/AML procedures will not trouble normal retail investors. We have been doing it since much earlier also.

As far as we're concerned, we have always been transparent and played by the rules with authorities and the bank. Hence, it is very frustrating for us as well.
We will continue to chase for this with Maybank. However, as per our latest status message -- we are also talking to other banks in parallel.

Yes, as per our latest status message, we are already talking to other banks in parallel. It would be great if we had multiple bank accounts to transfer as you mentioned. However as this is a really new industry (and perhaps the banks are very cautious too), it is taking a while. Thanks a lot for the suggestion.
All customer funds remain safe in the Maybank account. We would never do something like this. (Actually hypothetically speaking, Malaysia has strict capital controls so even another foreign company who might want to do this wouldn't be able to.)

judging from the livelihood of this thread, it seems like luno is loved by so many fans. i packed up and move on long time already. even if luno resume its operation, you still dare to use it ? all this new guys employed by luno is like 1 month? 2months? and they start representing the company?

1. suffer 50% + - loses and move to another platform.
2. have faith in luno and tungu lama lama.
3. take luno to court, make police report or so.
