Anyone who is on RM149 (free upgrade to 10MBps plan) managed to complain and get bill reduced to RM129? I think I recall reading this before here.

QUOTE(jusbella @ Sep 1 2017, 04:17 AM) I didn't manage to flip and check label. Hope somebody here can give detail. Uh... how often do you actually restart/turn off your modem? Mine is running 24 hours...But there is one thing I can sure, the startup speed of this modem is faster than grey color Huawei / Alcatel modem. |

QUOTE(AlexisStarZ @ Sep 3 2017, 06:02 PM) just wondering does TM will change the router for free? You can request, they will change for free if you renew another 2 year contract.already using Unifi since 2012 or 2013, can't remember correctly right now still using old D Link router provided by them saw few people post before that new router given by TM is TP Link router MAY be more worth it to reapply a new account (free all equipment + warranty + whatever promo they have nowadays). Depends what you're currently paying. |

QUOTE(tarm @ Oct 10 2017, 10:20 AM) Good morning, just installed unifi replacing maxis fiber at my home. Unifi should be all public IP. Not enough information from you to troubleshoot. You should test whether you can access your NAS internally first (is it on a fixed IP?) before trying from outside. Once it is accessible internally then you make sure the right port forwarding is happening, then make sure you're trying to access the right public IP.Just want to ask sifu2 here, how to access my NAS from outside? I did set up port forwarding on my router (using Asus rt-ac68u), but still cant access it. Last time when using Maxis they changed my ip from private to public IP, but when i called unifi hotline they said my ip already public one. please advice |

QUOTE(tarm @ Oct 10 2017, 10:44 AM) Thanks for your reply, and yup my nas already configured to internal fixed ip. Am using Synology DS-216j, which I register with its own DDNS service. I configure it to use port 8080, which is same one I set inside my router's port forwarding panel. Or should it be using different port? DDNS can take a while to update (try to ping the hostname and see if you get the right IP, from outside your network of course). Can access the synology internally on your LAN?You can configure the synlogy to use any port, but your router's forward-to port must match, of course. Your router's external port depends what service you're running, if your client to access can use it. |

QUOTE(reapermax @ Nov 3 2017, 10:39 AM) I am in tm point, counter has told me if you are in 30mbps package, the only choice you have is to either upgrade to 50 or 100. Is not possible to terminate and reapply again. If you're in contract should be possible by paying penalty. If out of contract they got no right to tell you cannot terminate. If they don't let same person apply again for Bonanza then just apply for a new line (on top of your existing one) and once that's installed you can terminate old line.... |

QUOTE(euphoriaa @ Nov 3 2017, 01:10 PM) Just got the free upgrade from 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps ! Yeah most likely is your wireless adapter. For desktop you should just use LAN cable, more reliable and no such problem with limited speed. Wireless N-adapters aren't cheap. But I cant seem to get anywhere close to 100Mbps, only got around 50DL and 50UL only using my desktop (wireless adapter). My Iphone seems to be able to get the speed (90DL/ 50UL). Is it related to my wireless adapter? or any settings that i might have missed out? |

QUOTE(LickGuy @ Nov 7 2017, 03:13 PM) so in short, I'd be interested in this too. Contract is fine, no way you're going to change without extending contract anyway (especially if you want new equipment).if upgrade/change vip10 (rm149) to bonaza 30mbps (rm139) even after contract ended donkey year ago will still bind to 24 months contract again la? any agent here can do "seamless" upgrade, i want new equipment, and probably freebies if you are offering... and least down time, hahaha, if got pm me, thanks. |

QUOTE(doremon @ Nov 7 2017, 09:21 PM) I tried it just now. Cannot downgrade to 30mbps. Only 10mbps. After a few month then only can up to 30mbps. Not sure why. TM system operates that way 'Only a few months' means must wait till after bonanza promo? Was this at a TMPoint? Seems like a scam to not be able to downgrade, assuming you're not in contract. |

Visited TMPoint today, was told I would have to cancel my (out of contract) 10/10 line to apply for the RM139 30/10 promo, but I wanted to apply first and only cancel when the line is installed.
At first they said can, but then on checking my address said no more ports for this address. Looks like no upgrade for me. Will check a different TMPoint and see how. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Nov 9 2017, 08:23 PM) Buddy. The port is in your area, not at TMPoint They specifically said this is a address limit within TM system, not an area port limit (and my area lots of old people, don't think that many unifi customers, I also don't experience night congestion like I do in my parents area with a younger demographic). The CS showed me on his screen that it showed my address only support one account. If they said no ports, that means there's no more extra ports available Going to another TMPoint is not gonna change anything The TMPoint recommendation was to go to a 'TMPoint Center' which they claim is able to authorize more ports for my address. |
