~RM100+ cheaper if you compare with TM/Maxis 30Mbps RM139 promotion price with their 23 months pay in advance discounted price.

Plus, its a fully fiber optic line with sync upload/download speed.

considered the price of rm189 for 100Mbps plan under unifi vs time 100Mbps rm149 which the extra rm50 paid for unifi gets hypptv jumbo + ruby packs and STD20 for free calls. Considered quite small gaps between the two now.

Im using same modem with you but router of C1200 instead.
I can never get full speed by connecting 2.4ghz, but 5 Ghz always no problem.
Our modem confirmed it's GE port.
I also have no idea why 2.4ghz cannot reach,
even TM technician telling that it cannot reach, ask me to connect 5 ghz instead if possible.

no. no replacement of wifi router. i am still using my tp-link archer c5. the most stable and best performance stock router that TM has ever given. :thumbsup:

I do not subscribe to STD20 & still pay RM209 for 50Mbps + Jumbo Pack. Went to TM Point Alor Setar 2 times already to change to RM189 package (100Mbps + Jumbo Pack), but unsuccessful. Now complaining to TM by email. If TM still unable to treat me fairly in term of package pricing, i will escalate my complaint to MCMC too...

Need to complain to TM first because you need to quote your TM ticket no. to MCMC.

Yes... similar result like yours.

Tm supplied tplink 1200.

Ethernet, no sweat... 105mbps.

Wifi 5ghz... 95 at 10ft, 85 at 30ft, 75 at 50ft.

Wifi 2.4ghz... crap...25 to 50 only.

My old asus rtn12hp can do better on wifi 2.4ghz, but only 95 with ethernet.
Will consider new router...

2.4GHz is well known for its congestion and interference from other devices and it is no surprise that you can’t reach full speed.

Lucky you. You must be at a place where the wireless network is less congested and have no interference from other wireless devices.

i think that is the prime reason why many can't get full 100mbps with 2.4 while some others can.

i tried all my devices, upstairs, downstairs... realize that some devices can receive better than others under same set of conditions.

i find this tplink c1200 router very poor for old devices using 2.4ghz.

and while ping test shows great results with 5ghz, actual streaming seems to be not very stable - reminds me of the old orange dlink one!

btw, i am asking because mine tv is broken, so how the hyyptv installation can be carry out?

i connect my house alarm system to my phone line, when there's an alert. my house phone line will call me.

but recently, when there's an alert, my house phone line won't call me anymore, i'm not sure what's wrong.

is it my phone line? my modem? my router? the unifi phone depends on router or modem?

i can still call and receive calls normally with my house phone line, just that when got alarm alert, it stopped calling me, it used to work, but no longer.

Guys..After complaint to mcmc (just try) my luck, TM offer me 100 mbps for RM239 with other service will remain the same. No free call & jumbo. Is it worth it?

Maxis cheaper a bit, upload speed same as download speed, have free calls, free iFlix subscription.

UniFi expensive than Maxis, upload speed halved of download speed, no free calls, have HyppTV set top box only but need to pay extra for tv channels.
