Are you using wired or wireless connection to ping?
How's the ping to your router?

Wireless & 9 ms.

Try a wired connection. Wireless can be iffy. Sometimes the ping to my router on wireless can be 20-30ms...

Not really I have tried 30,50 and and now 100Mbps streaming does not make much difference but except for downloads its much faster....

4K Live Stream from Dam Square, Amsterdam. 100Mbit does help...

I got a bit of error as they pro-rated my HypTV at earlier date than installation date, hence extra RM10++ for the Jumbo pack RM60. The discount for me was reflected on the internet subscription portion  -RM200 but not on HypTV jumbo pack portion.

Due to this, the prorate to Jumbo pack was based on RM60, not discounted RM10 (RM60 - discount RM50).

Well, I am happy with 100mbps , so that extra few ringgit, never mind la.
*
My HyppTV was also pro-rated 1 day earlier than my installation date resulting in additional $1.94.
It would be fine if I watched HyppTV but I don't...

Not sure that is the ping rate I'm getting on 5Ghz....Using LAN cable is always 7ms...
*
Try a different LAN cable if you have. 7ms on wired is slow.
Mine is <1ms on wired...

Serious is considered slow? Are you using normal LAN cable?
*
You're just pinging your router, right? Honestly, I have never seen more than 1ms ping to my router with wired connection.
If I saw 7ms wired ping for mine I would assume something is wrong somewhere.

Yes, I'm just using normal LAN cable...

Did you used speedtest to confirm the ping ms?
*
Ping to WAN is different story and it will be higher because it will have to go through many routing equipment before reaching its destination and returning that is out of your control.

Are you talking about ping to your router or WAN?

It's looks right. Your package is slightly different to mine due to the Jumbo Lite package but from next month
I believe you will be paying $159+$30=$189+GST.

im paying RM179 before GST for 50Mbps. last year could have gone & upgrade to 100Mbps for RM189 before GST but I rather wait for TM Unifi to introduce a 200Mbps package first. later kerajaan janji dicapati same thing this year. double your internet speed for same price  rclxm9.gif
confirm many people get butthurt.  devil.gif

No way, have you read the 11th Malaysia Plan (2016-2020)?
They're busy with HSBB 2 and SUBB and without more customers it's going to be difficult to achieve a meaningful 1% of GNI priced package.

There's been an update to the TP-Link Archer C1200 Aus firmware... The router actually popped up a notification when I opened a browser on the PC, asking to update. Updated over Ethernet connection and didn't lose my settings. Backup just in case though. New firmware isn't available on their website yet. Full reboot is noticeably faster.

Hmm, seems like they removed the update?

Hello, what I meant is to cancel my streamyx and then retain the RM10 package of unlimited fixed line calls & apply a brand new unifi package which means i'll have 2 phone in  the house. 1 will be using the conventional copper wire phone line and the other would be the unifi VOIP. cause the VOIP unlimited phone calls I have to add the additional RM20 kan?
*
There's no problem having 2 lines. I used to have Streamyx with Phone No. 1111 1111 (PSTN, Copper Line), when I migrated to UniFi, I cancelled my Streamyx but retain the my usual Phone No. 1111 1111. I pay RM2 per month for the itemised billing + any calls made.

In terms or whether you can retain your RM10 unlimited calls package probably depends on whether you got it as part of a Streamyx sweetener deal or standalone.
I believe only TM Point staff can answer or email help@tm.com.my.

There's a RM 20 package for 600mins to local or mobile on UniFi, and people can subscribe to this package or sometimes it is given for free during promotions.

Hahaha i'm trying to find the ways to get this free too! I heard some of them applied for the 50mbps package and gotten it for free. But then not too sure how legit it this :| and also TM CS can't trace if the RM10 package was standalone or under the streamyx package cause the fixed line is under mom's name and the streamyx is under my name. I was thinking since mom make lots of fixed line call, can retain the current RM10 voice deal with free rental and then i'll just apply a brand new UNIFI under my name and not use the VOIP
*
It's true, some people got the free 600mins call on UniFi.

Just check with TM...

Hmm.. maybe as it wasn't on their website for download in the first place. Only available to download and install through the config interface. Did you try updating while connected via cable?
*
Seems like it's not available via both the website and through the config interface.
Yea, always a wired connection with my main PC...

Here a weird question posed by my neighbours about few websites that can't be opened.

https://feikebt.com/  ----> can't connect?

http://fanfox.net  ----> automatic redirection to mangazone?

When using https://hidester.com/proxy/ to access, those two websites load just fine.

Changed DNS servers and cleared the DNS + browser cache too. Can't view the first and getting redirected at second.

Anyone encounter the same problem?
Otherwise, I might need to told them to use proxy server.
*
Couldn't connect initially also. But after going to http://104.27.142.194
and getting the Cloudflare error. https://feikebt.com is loading now.

The other one is redirected to mangazone...

guys, recently upgraded to rye 2017 100mbps plan, with rm189 montly. but for 1st month bill tm forgot to give the rm50 discount n i was charged rm255.7, they add the rm50 discount after i filed complaint. just got this month bill with the charges rm154.2 inclu gst, anyone can help to see if i m billed correctly? tq
*
According to your assertion, you should be paying $99 - $50 = $49 for residential internet.

But it seems, TM has prorated your $50 discount by 4 days. (4/31) x $50 = $6.45
So, $50 - $6.45 = $43.55

Therefore, $99 - $43.55 = $55.45 for residential internet.
