QUOTE(ic3rock @ Nov 5 2017, 06:40 PM) I think is because u cant get use to cvt, u driving style cannot like u drive Wira, starting need slow if i not mistaken. New Persona shouls get better fuel consumption than old Wira... if I use a similar comparison,My 1.3MT Iswara gettin best at 11-12km/l while Persona got me a 14-15km/l and my Myvi getting around 15-16km/l |

QUOTE(ic3rock @ Nov 5 2017, 11:44 PM) Myvi 1.3, first generationYa, I feel this Persona FC not bad already considering its about 200kg heavier and bigger 1.6L engine But of course if wanna compare with latest car like City and Vios, Persona FC cannot rival them... but if comparing with Almera, maybe quite abang adik |

QUOTE(jlyeow @ Nov 7 2017, 11:05 AM) Hi ic3rock, I also had Subaru Forester which have on-board calculation, I would say Persona's on-board calculation is too optimistic compared to Subaru Forester which is closer to real life figure, I reset trip meter every time fuel up and my fuel up is full tank everytime, however the figure is quite consistent with similar driving behavior & route.Correct me if I'm wrong. As far as I understand, the system calculates your FC based on the following data fed by various sensors: 1. Accelerator pedal sensor. 2. Coolant temperature sensor. 3. Atmospheric pressure sensor (not sure if our Persona VVT has this, but I think it does). 4. Air flow/MAP sensor. The above sensors are feeding information based on the below driving pattern: 1. Urban/city driving (traffic jam, stop-look-go) VS highway cruise. 2. Cold start driving (uses more fuel) VS warmed up engine. 3. A lot of hill climbs (uses more fuel) VS flat road driving. 4. Slow driver VS racer wannabe. The on-board computer calculates the FC based on so many information, but many simply claims that by calculating full tank/mileage is the most accurate calculation, ignoring how one drives a car as well as many other factors that might be affecting the FC. The ECUs and sensors are working the numbers digitally without your calculation, so why are we going backward to do a manual calculation? Almost everything in our injection management system is electronically controlled and I think we should take advantage on it. IMO, by simply calculating full tank/mileage is not able to justify much. No offence intended. Anyone may correct me if I'm wrong. Cheers. Plus if we want to compare one car's FC to another, we can only use the manual calculation to do the math since not all car have these calculations or sharing the same system... that's my reason why I use Manual calculation |

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Nov 9 2017, 01:46 PM) A simple way to sum this up,RV can't beat Perodua, but differences was not that big But if u wanna compare savings with T and H brand, Persona will save u more due to its cheaper to begin with, in other words u pay lesser interest and lesser insurance too, in ringgit wise, your RV drop wasn't as much as imported car if don't count by percentage. |

QUOTE(ic3rock @ Nov 9 2017, 11:27 PM) Then about the same with my Gen 2, but hopefully mine can up to 400km once i got my Persona. Bank called me for an interview yesterday, i guess should be not a problem liao... Really depending on your foot and your road condition, like for me 500km per tank can be easily achieved since not much involved in Jam...And like other Campro engine, this engine's FC not that desirable before 1k service, you'll see improvement after 1k, 5k and 10k could be due to engine run in and at the same time we're better in controlling the car |

QUOTE(jlyeow @ Nov 9 2017, 11:48 PM) Sometimes relying too much of these aids (e.g. parking aid sensors, reverse camera etc.) will make us fool and lazy. When any of these aids are out of operation, all of a sudden we'll feel so uneasy LOL! This Persona sensors need to step by step 1... move a bit, then stop and wait for 1 second, then continue a bit more, rest 1 second... continue till u heard the long beep if u're comfortable with it... and of course, your 6th Sense need to activate sikit too, if u feel uncomfortable, yeah... pls trust yourself |

QUOTE(Boss262 @ Nov 10 2017, 07:17 AM) Yeah I agree with this but anyway my car is running fine the only problem is the rattling noise, it comes back again. Even with ip kit install, the rattling becomes somewhat the same as before. I actually don't know what to do anymore lol. Try check the gear console area... the cigarette lighter there, at corner I stuff in some paper and it solved rattling noise in that area |

QUOTE(sl3ge @ Nov 12 2017, 04:09 PM) bro, Have you test drive the car? U can't just judge the car's handling by its steering bro actually i think persona steering is so big and it feel like last time i drive old version of iswara hatchback.( dunno how to say it) The steering feel very blur to me, i wonder y ppl say persona/iriz handle good. No harm feeling, just discuss. This post has been edited by zero5177: Nov 12 2017, 09:54 PM |

QUOTE(sl3ge @ Nov 12 2017, 11:43 PM) i own new persona and new city. I see... to me the steering feel is better than a few of my car, I like the thickness of the steering... and I don't feel the steering big anyway... feel smaller than Myvi and Iswara... I'm quite comfortable with the steering so far, and its very light at slow speedfamily car got iswara,myvi2009,wira (all i drive quite a long time) i just feel iswara feeling very much same as persona. |

QUOTE(Ashhh @ Nov 13 2017, 10:17 AM) Hi fellow Persona VVT users, Like Maxwell suggested, GY triplemax is quite good, my ori was Silverstone, then I changed to Triplemax for about 180 per pcs, Noise reduced, much better grip in both dry and wet, going through puddle water really well too! So far I'm very satisfied with this Triplemax, I feel its quite underrated...Can you guys suggest what's the best tyre to use for this car? The stock tyre provided by Proton (Silverstone) is really not that good; plus it's noisy. Please share any good tyres that you guys are using now. Thanks Initially was planning to go for CC6, but CC6 was an entry level tire, grip may not be that good especially on wet surface.. so gave this Triplemax a try which is a mid-range tire (Silverstone was mid-range too) |
