The IP Noise Kit is only on the dashboard, driver side door or b pillar is wont have that.  It's normal if heard rattling sound, just go SC tell them door trim got rattling sound, they will tightening it.

Maybe you can record and share us the video/sound of the rattle? Wanna check whether it matched with my kind of rattle as well.

I got tired of the rattling noise I went ahead to fix it myself. I will upload the tutorial later. For now let me show you why persona is really not tin milo. That amount of noise foam is a lot. Is about 2cm thick.

Same as mine, but you use the original key chain ring...

Why your silicone cover is black colour icon, mine white icon...
*
You can try search on lazada Proton suprima silicone key cover. They share the same. The one you using is for iriz. As far as I know, standard MT and AT variant share same key. For higher end they is similar to iriz. For ours, I think suprima key silicon is the one smile.gif

Do keep the original key chain with the small metal plate elsewhere, don't be like me LOL. In case you lose both of your key, the plate has etched password to duplicate keys.

Holy shit. How the heck did you get that out?! On another note, anyone knows how to open the cover for steering & speedometer?  unsure.gif

For speedometer you can start from these 2 screw at the top of the plastic

this simple tutorial will show how to remove door trim for Iriz and Persona. I did this because im finding the source of rattling, it will help those who need to fix power window, upgrade speaker and also door handle.

1. Firstly remove this tab using a flat head screw driver. Then unscrew it.

2. locate the storage slot at the door trim, unscrew it.
Attached Image
3. gently try to lift up the power window switch console off the door trim.
Attached Image
4. Uplug the 2 cables harness.
Attached Image

this is harder to remove, there is actually 3 side that has clips that hold them in place, use a small flat head screw driver to push the clip inwards so it can be freed
Attached Image
your power window switch console should be completely detach.

5. Remove this 2 screws
Attached Image .

6. starting from bottom of your door trim, pull the black trim towards you gently, you will heard clips popping out, slowly pull it from bottom to the side.
once you reach the top, gently lift up the black trim by pulling it upwards, the door trim will come off. DO NOT DROP YOUR DOOR TRIM AT THIS MOMENT.

Warning: DO NOT PULL THE DOOR TRIM ON THE TOP, THE TOP IS NO HELD IN PLACE WITH CLIP.

7.unscrew 3 screws to free the door lock here. your door trim will be completely off from your door.

another angle when it is removed

8. i found that the rattling come from the plastic connector hitting the metal door. so i stuck some sponge there.

reinstalling is just the reverse step. general tip, after you screw back in any parts, give it a good wiggle, we are trying to solve the rattling noise, not adding more. take it slow and never use brute force.
Hope this helps for DIY-ers

It should be held by clips, gently wiggle all around see where it will pop out

Yes, I did. Actually, having any kind of door visors will only increase the wind noise at high speeds, not reduce it.

I install it so that rain won't come into the car when I park the car at an open space. I always leave the window slightly open to keep the hot air out. Having door visors will prevent any water intrusion during rain.

Doing my third service, and I feel a bit disappointed. They say I'm not eligible for 3rd time service FOC. I follow exactly 6 month within interval service. Never had this kind of problem with peroduo. I'm dissatisfied with proton loudy after sales.

Then u need to pay?
*
yes i did, because after this week i will be over 6month period, and all SC are full due to holiday season. Not to mention they charge me washer fluid for RM 6.70 without telling me. can say i was at fault not checking during payment.

For those who dont want to be ripped off like me, follow 100% on this link, they cant over charge you or top up anything without your conscience. someone recommend me this SC and is near my house so i let my guard down.
http://www.proton-edar.com.my/pdf/service-...vice%20Menu.pdf
Please be very aware proton charge you RM 60 per work hour. that SC charge me RM66 so i was con. This is the so called bad sales service. total i spent RM210 just for an oil change, is terribly expensive.

sad to say this is the bad part owning a proton, i sent my myvi to SC i trust them fully and still the maintenance was cheaper for a 4 year old car oil change.

U went to proton edar servce center or proton appointed workshop?
Better proton edar servce center, to be safe, i think.

There are several good proton appointed workshop being discussed in lowyat. Kena search.
*
it should be an appointed work shop. you are right, edar SC is safer. is kinda my fault as well cuz i push my service date just few days before reaching that 6 months time period. i find proton service is rather expensive, as officially quote at their webpage.

City drv not so fun. But hiway drv this persona suprises me. Suprisingly good. Recently travel thro pantai timur hiway with 2 relatives cars. Jazz n hrv. Raining. We are speeding avg 140km/h. Briefly like 10minutes at 160km/h. The hondas is testing me. Must say persona speeding effortlessly n comfortably.

At the end of the journey the hrv said they saw persona behind them catching like a bull dog. While the jazz at behind said persona slicing  wet road like a rock.

But at that speed the engine roar is noticeable. Need to raise our voice while talking.

rclxms.gif drive safe bro. persona is fun to drive in highways and windy roads too. rclxm9.gif

i think you are kinda right, shell does feel more power.
just last few days i switch from empty tank petronas to shell, the cars starts to jerk(accelerate too fast) from stop to start. after driving about 10km the cars seems to adjust to the fuel and it returns normal.

this guy has done some interesting test, using his grand livina. food for thought.
http://www.christopherteh.com/blog/2011/04/fc/

tldr
here i quote his conclusion

"different petrol brands would give a different FC depending on the distance travelled. The results showed that for the lowest FC, Shell is most suitable for city driving (e.g., roads with heavy traffic) but Petronas is most suited for highway driving (e.g., outstation driving).

So perhaps Malaysians do have it right on the best petrol brands (Shell and Petronas) to use for their cars."
*
An update here after few weeks of testing with Shell and petronas both RON 95. conclusion is petronas has better mileage. I notice that when i use shell moving from stop sometimes the car will jerk(like you suddenly floor it but not as extreme), this can be viewed as shell has better acceleration. I drive quite lightfootedly, with petronas full tank i got to 420-440, shell i got 380-420.

IMO i feel that persona engine likes petronas more, i did notice lesser accelerate when using petronas compare to shell.

NOTE: when switching Shell to Petronas, i only fuel up petronas to replace shell fuel when is blinking warning. then i proceed on using petronas for the next week to ensure less mixing between fuel.

i can confirm, the window visor does introduce more wind noise. is good to have to ventilate the car during hot days.
