I think i'm facing similar problem. Not sure whether the sounds come from steering/speedometer area or side door/b pillar. But one thing from sure, the noise comes from somewhere at the bottom. Nasib baik I only face it during 'hot' season in the car. Bila dah sejuk, automatic the noise will go away.

Maybe you can record and share us the video/sound of the rattle? Wanna check whether it matched with my kind of rattle as well.

Hi geng. Anyone of you face problem/issue whereby there's a rattling noise coming out on the steering wheel part? It should be as similar to this issue from Proton Iriz's thread as follows:

8. Steering rattling noise. Caused by loose horn/airbag cover. Need to remove and apply cloth tape to make the cover fit snugly.

What kind of damping kits did you installed, bro?

Maybe half of the majority suffers the issue. But, the rattling sounds can be fixed, either DIY by yourself or send to SC.

Anyone went to Proton Edar Chan Sow Lin? I want to send my Persona for a fix on the dashboard rattle issue. Called them earlier, they only did the fixing specifically on Wednesday only, and have to leave my car for 2 days.

Or any other Proton Edar branch is with good service/reputation? There's one near to my workplace @ Proton Edar Seksyen 13, PJ; but not sure whether they can do the dashboard rattle fix with IP noise kit or not.

You might need to leave your car, depending on SC. Some can do it in 1 day. Others might take up to 3 days, max.

Where are you staying? If anywhere near to KL/Cheras, try to book an appointment with Proton Chan Sow Lin.
Heard they are pro with fixing the dashboard rattle. I might send mine some when around next month.

Sending my car to SC Chan Sow Lin for the dashboard issue this morning. Cross-finger, hopefully it'll solve at least the major rattle.

Agreed bro. I sent my car twice to dealer already, earliest last year and end of last year. After 1 week, the noise comes back.
This time around, just trying my luck with branch. Hopefully ada ong.

All. An update. Proton SC Chan Sow Lin unable to solve the dashboard rattle problem due to damage at the dashboard (which was previously done with Proton dealer @ Tropical Impact Sdn Bhd - Balakong/Cheras Selatan). Thus, i complaint again to Proton & cc all the branch manager for further rectification. The SA @ Chan Sow Lin told me that they need to claim a new set of dashboard to replace it back - and fix the IP kit to the dashboard. Sigh. I'm so disappointed at the work done by their staff (for dealer). Langsung tak jaga kualiti dan menjahanamkan lagi kereta customer

Yep, that's the rectification part. Dealer (Proton @ Tropical Impact) needs to claim from HQ, and branch (Chan Sow Lin) will pasang the dashboard later on.
That is due to dealer & branch having different structure of cost centre (which is a bit surprising for me to realise that after SA from Chan Sow Lin gave me a call and share the update).

The damage part is at the front portion of dashboard (facing windscreen), where the are two area mengelembung ke atas (like a hill already), as shared by Technical Team that came to CSL SC. Right now the case is being taken by Area Manager as well. Hopefully this issue can be solve within the next 1-2 weeks. I'm so upset already.

Yep, last year will be my last visit to them. Had enough of their treatment.
True that, luckily have a friend over at CSL SC. At least they can help to faciliate the process.

Anyhow, I won't get my hope up high after fitting in new dashboard later on. My friend's new Honda City face dashboard rattle issue as well, despite the car being only 3 months old. I guess CKD cars (assembled in Malaysia), majority will face those problems. Cheap parts used, perhaps?
