I believe their service centre is now closed. I would like to know more about their Drop off method.

Meaning they will assign 3rd party contractor to repair our laptop?

well the laptop that I purchase is a business grade laptop that I purchased in US. One time within warranty period in Malaysia some issue with the motherboard so I created a support ticket with HP and then the next day a local tech contacted me and ask me my exact house location and he drop by to change the motherboard for me and then I just sign the service report

all HP are onsite service at the moment, as their service centers are closed.

However, there are no such thing as complete 1-1 exchange except for printers.

all models, even those purchased before they started the onsite service will have onsite service as there wont be service centers to service them otherwise.

just call and arrange a service and it should take just 2-3 days for normal consumer models.
1-1 exchange may be available for certain enterprise models, but typically even commerical laptops only have 1-1 for parts, not the whole thing.

Laptop do having 1 to 1 exchange, subjects to Manufacturer approval, for DOA case

If DOA case, dealer will handle, not you, unless of course, you bought it directly from their website.
and also CN case, where parts are not available, else, rarely do you get full 1-1
*
who told you told information ?

end user also can dealing with Manufacturer HQ office support directly incase you are not aware , even bought from retail shop

CN case is last resolving after 1 to 1 tongue.gif

onsite service, bro, not pick up.

They will confirm your case, log case, arrange a tech and send parts+tech to repair your device within 2-3 working days.

ie. you'll get your device functional within 2-3 days depending on your location, parts availability, face.

mathafather..........DOA means CN case and is the only case that you're typically granted 1 to 1 la, doh.gif
most of the time, end users deal with dealers, rather than manufacturer directly because manufacturer will take time, while dealer will have ready stock...... doh.gif

find me a brand that will offer 1 to 1 exchange for a consumer PC b with just a screen problem or just a keyboard issue, with spares available easily doh.gif

are you a reseller ?

you don't have to be a big player to know DOA case can be claimed even for things like missing keys or dead DVD drive, but what you commented earlier implied that TS could be compensated with a brand new machine for those kind of issue, even months after his purchase.
