Hi all ,

May I ask if Aeon credit's recognized retail price is higher than recommend Retail price from manufacturers ? For example the bike costs 35k but loan amount for Aeon is 38k. Is this the practice in the market ?

Sorry new to this.

Thanks !

Ok make sense if included interest. So the base/principal loan will still be the same

AEON vs personal loan... do compare. Sometime it's cheaper to get personal loan, way cheaper if you're government staff.

AEON allows some variation in the selling price by diff retailers, meaning they allow u to hutang a bit more to accommodate the various sticker prices at diff shops.

But hutang is still hutang. It doesn't mean extra free cash for u.

Always aim for the least amount of hutang.

Motor RM35k tapi kau sengaja balun hutang RM38k just because AEON lets you... then kau yg rugi, AEON yg untung.

agreed to take less. paying about 30-40% down payment. just i saw the list from the motorcycle shop is RM38k instead of RM35k.

The RM38K include all the others like insurance, road tax etc. If add all up in cash price i think is RM37.5k. RM500 bucks for Aeon processing fee and all.

May consider personal loan since less hassle with bike registration etc.

Exactly. Sometime, there's good personal loan promotion. Cheaper than AEON, less hassle. Pay slip, sign here & there, done.

btw if aeon's profit rating for example is 0.4% per month. Do we just simple multiply 12 to get the effective annual rate?

Do shop around & compare. They have variable interest rates according to bike cc, special promotions, its not fix.

Another option is by flexi loan offered by credit card. Interest is very low but the length of loan is also short, i.e. longest 3 years. If u can suit your repayment into the 3yrs repayment then this is the best option. Furthermore, you don't have to pay the processing fee charged by AEON.

Yup... Not joking...

Hiap Aik Speed Motor Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. Bought Ego LC Fi for RM6k (on the road price) March 2015. Monthly RM333.33 per month for 18 months. I used my Maybank credit card. Any Maybank credit card can be used. thumbup.gif

Why pay RM6k cash straight away. Better to put it somewhere for short term return thumbup.gif

Actually, if your cc provide zero % flexi payment, you can swap at any shop then only the credit card company will convert the amount swapped into flexi repayment. Any shop will accept
