wohoho finally there's an RGA prestige after some discussion all this while in ss.org
but it has quite a scoop at the horns

ESP also has released an LTD model the MH417
its a neck thru maybe and sadly no reverse headstock

Thanks! it is actually quite a joy to play with the extended scale length(26.5"). The pickups ain't too bad too, and does sound pretty convincing with coil tap.

Im still undecided on the string gauges though. right now has 9-52 which feels somewhat flabby..

Welcome to the 7 String family, Quarantined! Hope you enjoy your new axe! smile.gif

Which of the strings feel flabby to you? If it's the 7th string, you can buy D'Addario single 7 strings at gauge .054
The Ernie Ball standard 7 string slinky gauges are .009 to .052, whereby D'Addario 7 string sets are gauge .009 - .054

If all the strings feel flabby to you, you can always try .010 - 056

Thanks, Im really liking it.

I actually liked the factory strings setup but the thing is I wasnt sure what gauge the factory string was, it was quite dirty. So later on I changed to the 9 set and immediately felt the slack. Later on I was thinking of changing to a 10 set but now I guess I should just change the B string to .054 and see if things improves. Thanks for the suggestion though.

The neck is really comfortable, not too thick nor thin. And with the extended scale it plays beautifully. And I thought it will be a b*tch to play.. how wrong was I smile.gif

the pups output are quite high, they're voiced like hotter PAFs. Coil tap sounds phenomenal really, I could start from metal then
with RHCP then switch to SRV. If I'm gonna change them it's gonna be some dimarzios... although I have no preference at the moment.

its been a while since i posted here.

being on and off guitarist is sad. i didnt practice for more than 4 months, i went jamming with few of my buddies and my older brother yesterday, i cant even last for 3 songs! my fingers start to feel pain from the strings. i cant even remember the guitar lines. the only things that left of me is my sense of good tone. i was being outplayed by my own older brother, but my sound was way clear than his.

it kinda make me feel that i dont deserve my 7 strings anymore. i hardly use the 7th strings anyway.

i agree with valkyrie, try .10-.56, im using it too. one thing i love about using .10 is the thick tone. it might take a while for u to get use to it, but it's worth it

Haha too bad I'm no Jeff Loomis. I have changed the B string to a Daddarios .056 the other day and it feels much better now. But the thing is.. I just noticed that the previous string I had in there is of the same gauge! (but diff company) The feels are quite substantially different though..

Beat :you mean intonation? I guess its.. pretty good. The longer scale helps.
