I hope someone can tell me the difference between Unifi Lite and 8Mbps Streamyx, other than speed difference.

I am already using 8Mbps (profile set to 10mbps) streamyx so there's little to no difference for me to upgrade to Unifi Lite in term of speed other than extra 5Mbps upload.

My real concern is, latency. I have confirmed with TM CS that my Unifi Lite will be Fiber to box but copper to house a.k.a VDSL2.
So if I did decide to upgrade, it will be only because of latency & routing reason. Otherwise I'll stay at where I am.
So is there any difference in term of latency/ping before and after you switched to Streamyx/Unifi Lite, since both are using copper? Hope anyone read and can respond to my very specific question

Nope.. my place isnt covered by FTTH, only copper.
I was expecting to get similar ping like fiber but I guess thats not happening yeah? I'll keep Streamyx for now I guess, hopefully my place will get Fiber soon, already seeing fiber being deployed around the town, might take awhile to come to my housing area.

I didnt have any xxx@iptv username , only have xxx@tvos.

I tried log in the happy everywhere with the one xxx@tvos but seem like failed.

I create a new account and log in, but only can watch normal tv.

My Unifi lite chosen Ruby package. But too bad i cannot log in using that account. May be i will call TM to check it out.

oh well, TM has replied to me that they have no plan to upgrade their cabinet that supports more than 8mbps as long the hardware is working and users enjoying the current speed without any interuption. The adjacent kampung left and right to my place surprisingly supporting unfilite due to newly installed cabinet.

Are you sure your area are considered as ‘kampung’?
KSB got unifi ftth already when I checked your exchange at their network geomatics site. Or maybe this is for town area only? Perhaps your area falls under HSBB2 project? They will put unifi fiber terus instead of vdsl cabinet.. maybe...

In simple, relocate your Unifi no charges for that unless need new cabling got charges.

But Streamyx relocate charge as Activation fee (RM50 one time per relocate) plus new cabling another charges.

You sure activation fee for new acc? I have previously relocate to another taman residential area. The TM point say to me got activation charge RM50 (Bt did not inform me exclude GST).

I have filling all the bill statement detail to keep for record purposes.
