I've just started with Body Building since April 2007 after few years of being a couch potato. Before that, I was kinda athletic with various sports activities. It was very unexpected to get sucked into carrying weights. Initially I joined a gym out of boredom in life and to occupy my ample time. Now I find myself feeling uneasy during my rest day. I'm currently consuming weight gainer and lift 3 times a week. No Cardio

I guess pictures speak a thousand words.

You look hella skinny... but where's the abs??
weird...

King83 smile.gif

Thanks for the comment. I'll take your words together with me into the gym as a form of motivation to work harder.
Apologize for not stating my goals in the previous post. My aim is to have a toned and lean body, therefore I'm taking it slow with bulking. I'll stop as soon as I am satisfied with what I see on the mirror. I would like to gain another 5kgs at the moment.

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Jul 18 2007, 08:04 PM)
Ignore King83, he's a regular troll on the forums. You look way better than him considering you started just since April 2007. Keep up the good work.
*
Darklight79,

Reading such words from a reputable bb in H&F means a lot to me. Please do not hesitate to shower me with advice/criticism. I gonna need it to further improve my knowledge in BB. Looking forward in meeting/working out with you all one day.

QUOTE(Canopies @ Jul 18 2007, 08:15 PM)
Hmm,good progress. All the best in ur bb life.

p/s: your avatar looks sooo familiar ...
*
Canopies,

Do hope my rate of progress will not decrease. I know there r still many rooms for improvement within my workout/diet routines.
There are a few members using the same avatar as I'm. Downloaded it from a gif site

Ky_khor,

I'm currently at 59 kgs (height = 167cm), kinda thin at the moment. My goal for now is to add on another 5kgs of muscle mass. Ain't easy gaining it. Stuck at 59kgs for a week now. Need do something about it

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Jul 19 2007, 04:19 AM)
Thank you N0eL. It is an honor to hear such words from aspiring trainees like yourself as it gives me inspiration to push my body to the limit and beyond. I'll help out whenever i can. And yes, I've met up and trained members before. Do not hesitate to ask if you require assistance.
Right now don't worry about width or thickness, etc. Focus on gaining overall body mass and milk those newbie gains to the limit.

Peace.
*
Will do sir. I'm eating as much and often as I could. Ain't easy to locate healthy food around the office. I'm currently consuming nutralife Maximum weight gainer. Doesn't means like it's doing its job.

@N0eL

enough for weight gainers. time to put one serious muscle mass man. get a tub of whey isolate protein. do compound exercises. check out the pinned exercise routine thread. u'll find useful stuff in it
*
Start with Whey so soon? I still aint satisfied with my current size.
I read that whey will only encourage muscle growth, but I wont gain much mass out of it.Moreover my metabolism will increase due to the extra muscle and I might start loosing weight if I keep up with my current diet.

Kindly advice.

QUOTE(Joey-kun @ Jul 19 2007, 12:25 PM)
no, I mean I;m 83kg now so to go to 59kg is unrealistic tongue.gif

Joey-kun,

read it somewhere that u were previously 100+ kgs before u start working out. U must have a well shaped body by now. flex.gif

QUOTE(tongyam @ Jul 19 2007, 12:38 PM)

tongyam,

We need to gain more weight buddy. Else we will look like walking bamboo standing next to other members guys over here.

I work on my chest everytime. I dont think it's fat. Mostly muscle. Aiming for a more developed chest.

you should start on whey as soon as you start to lift. else, drink HL milk after workouts.

no, I was 70+kg before I start lah....100+ is someone else smile.gif
*
QUOTE(jones007 @ Jul 19 2007, 01:01 PM)
just be on a caloric excess diet and you'll grow, dont worry. take whey and grow more musles. u can still take mass gainer if your daily diet is very low on carbs.
w00t the lats war again? lol
*
Currently HL milk is part of my diet. But i guess need to start with whey to increase the progress. I can't really eat much at the moment coz got used to the weight lost diet I've been on since past months. I guess consuming both weight gainer and whey seems feasible, but can I do so?

wow, u have baby-smooth skin...
jk  tongue.gif

nice chest  thumbup.gif

dunno why, it seems lightweight guys tend to have nice chest faster.
i saw quite many average guys have well developed chest compared their other body parts.

sigh... i have jealousy problem  biggrin.gif

T+1,

Most probably was the lighting that displayed my skin that way.
I bench press everytime I'm at the gym. Most of the time using dumbbells rather than barbells. Bigger chest gives the illusion that a person is actually bigger than one really is brows.gif

i'm not saying noel, he looks like he has developed some good size too.

U r right pizzaboy. I do concentrate on my chest a lot. But not biceps. Only realized that I've gotta work harder on that department when I looked at the mirror recently. But I'm aiming for overall balance. Except legs, hahahaha. I dont train them at all.. doh.gif

I'm in a process of building a belly at the moment. Can hardly fit into my pants now. I guess all my increased weight(current 63.5,gained 2 kgs this month) went to the mid section. Most probably coz I eat dinner late at night(usual time 9pm). I'm thinking of adding a 30 mins run into my routines from next month onwards. Diet will be as usual. I'm quite satisfied with my current outlook, just want to get rid of the belly and make those 6 packs visible. Hopefully I wont loose much muscle mass with the 30 mins cardio.

Lipo 6?

Mind sharing your cutting workout routines? (high rep low-mid intensity?)
Diet? ( 1g protein per pound body weight + calorie deficit?)

Thanks in advance ~!

Thanks alot for the comments. My goal isn't to look like John Cena or Batista. But I'll start Bulking again for sure after this. I'm currently sorta like experimenting what sizes i prefer the most. At the moment, going for athletic look~!

Hey King,

Thanks a lot. Will work even harder when I start bulking.

As jones said, I might not have consumed enough protein previously. I Aint loosing any weight at all even when i'm cutting now. I've kinda doubled my intake of protein at the moment.

I was heavier in the Oct picture by 2-3 kgs. Currently culking, it's either an illusion that i look bigger or i'm burning fat and gaining Muscles.

Still need to cut more. Been doing it for 2 months, progress seems slow. It's ok as long as i aint loosing much muscles from it

Gained 2 inches on chest area, 0.5 inch on arms and 2 inches on the waist. Still Sticking to the same routines doing 3x8 for hypertrophy right now. More visible muscle definitions and burning more fats.

I highly recommend consuming BCAA for during and post workout meal. I only take whey in the morning and before going to bed right now. Started with VasoCharge this week and seems very good as a pre workout meal. Am able to lift 10lbs heavier than before with ease. Should be able to go heavier but i'm still on trial and error experiments right now. Go for AB rollers for 6 packs. It's fairly an advance routine but it works wonder. Give it a try.

Dare to indicate that i'm at the right path as progress seems reasonable. Will try to further tweak diet as I think it still ain't good enough at the moment.

Hoping for bigger chests and better visibility 6 packs at the moment. biggrin.gif smile.gif flex.gif
