Is Sipadan dives challenging? I myself also first timer, and my friend want to tag along. He just got his advance last year with total approx 30 dives.

Should be ok just don't get scared when looking below... Below seaventure the currents can be strong at times but still manageable, you should go to experience it ...

Sipadan is usually easy diving, but I have encountered down currents there. Divemasters there are pretty used to taking care of novice divers.

Getting close to the cliff during dive can be fun brows.gif

DM described it as (front loading) washing machine dive

A part of Sipadan diving is wall diving, and you can read about that to prepare yourself. Some of the walls are cliffs, some slope down more gently. With the clear waters there, it can be deceiving how deep you are. Keep an eye on your depth and gas.

Current can be strong when you're dropping off to look for barracudas.

There's also cool stuff in the shallows, like big schools of jacks and bumpheads. Here the diving is easier.

Enjoy your time there 👍🏾

Anyone interested to join me and my friends to dive with Seaventures (with 1 day sipadan guaranteed)? We are looking for 2 more divers to go either 15-20 Dec or 16-21 Dec.

Cost - 4d3n with seaventures RM1750 per pax + RM140 sipadan permit (excl airfare, 2 night accommodation and meals in semporna). Estimated less than RM2600 in total.

Day 3: 3 daily boat dive (Between Mabul / Kapalai or Sipadan Island) + unlimited hse reef dive
Day 4: 3 daily boat dive (Between Mabul / Kapalai or Sipadan Island) + unlimited hse reef dive
Day 5: Another 2 boat dives in the morning, then 2pm transfer back to Semporna, overnight in semporna
Day 6: return flight

RM1750 - 4D3n seaventures package.

Go early to book your space... I did that last time.. but usually the resort have their dedicated parking lot... Better you ask them
