hello guys, my maximum capacity for my ip7 is 78%, bought 3 years ago.

it drains a lot playing games, spotify. somehow, i am aware it drains due to the battery.

Is it advisable to change the battery <80%? advise needed

just change it. the price of changing the battery at Machines not that expensive.

If you still plan to use the phone for another two years or so then yes, it’s worth to change the battery. If there is a Switch outlet near you, they are charging just RM199 for battery replacement.

Why?

buggy, when i toggle apps, it close the app even when setting allows it to run in background, e.g. waze and i go to whatsapp. i come back to waze its killed
battery life seems significantly worse (i guess apple do it to make you upgrade, since last time they were caught slowing down the phone, now they drain the battery faster)
it runs hotter

these are my personal findings on iPhone 7 128GB. don't have to disagree with me or anything. its what i am facing now.

i regret upgrading to iOS 13, but screw it, cause i'm collecting my iPhone 11 on Friday.

IOS 13.1 is already out to kill off some of the bugs.

Honestly Apple is back to their old bullshit ways of forcing people to upgrade their devices by (what I believe from my limited experience of my own device) intentionally crippling the older phones.

Before iOS 13 update, there were no such issues. On a plus side, when I freshly installed iOS 13, it "felt" faster than before, launching apps, swiping home screen. I guess because they were sued for slowing down the performance, now they drain the battery.

Since Steve Jobs left, the monkeys don't know how to make a better product so I'd buy it, they resort to making their existing, older products more crap so you're forced to upgrade.

I thought every IOS update, the phone will redo the indexing, thus consume battery at a higher rate on the first few days.
After that, then only the phone will stabilised.
I also read that some phones died after the IOS update. Very unfortunate.
I am sure older phones with slower processor will struggle with the newer IOS.
Some users will feel the differences while others don't bother (as long as the phone is usable).

I upgraded from 6 to 6S to 7 because the performance was significantly slowed to me. Have been using the 7 since because with the launch of 8, X, XS I didn’t feel my 7 slowing down.

I planned to buy the 11 anyway and take a contract, I can’t wait to be rid of this 7 tomorrow.

As for the indexing, I have no clue, as a consumer I don’t care. If Apple bothered to inform me, which they didn’t, to me it’s just shady business practice.
