Definately. But my main concern would be the inadequate storage. My photos alone about 20GB.    But like mentioned, its only temporary. But Im afraid I wont be able to get my hands on the 8 on launch day.

anyone experience phone auto wiped after several wrong passcode tries (about 5 times). pretty sure the 10 attempt auto wipe was disabled.

last seen - screen was disabled for 1 hour. after that wipes out the phone and start like a new phone now...no backup done sigh.

any ideas if I can send it for data recovery? where/and how much would it cost?

No, the phone is not even locked at all, it is now working exactly like a new phone, it showed the ‘Hello’ screen and select language etc. like a fresh restore...and I lost all my files...

Unless u report stolen from ur Apple ID , then it will be bricked

Coz from the cloud u are still the owner and if u see the explanation the system actually encrypt the data , not an actual “delete”

I personally turn this off after reading all the stories about people accidentally cleaned off the phone

After ur phone is stolen they will go and find out ur other Apple ID linked devices and will send u an email / sms as if apple found ur phone and need u to key in ur Apple ID and password to retrieve it

Once u key in, it is keyed in for them and then they will change password from their side to release the stolen phone

To beat that, u enable two step verification, Apple will send a code to ur other Apple ID devices when this is enabled when there’s a new sign in. Then thieves won’t get access even with ur password

Also need to check whether the phone is telco lock or unlock version. There are cases where phones which are telco locked (phones from telco with contract), then seller default on the payments on the phones, and in the end telco bricked the phone. Pity the buyer.

For me the best is these phones must come with paperwork, ie receipts etc. Then only can acertain whether it is telco phone or unlock etc etc. Too many conmen around.

if u start the phone and its fresh then it should be okay but iOS will require SIM card to go in then later only u can reset again .

just my friendly advice, coz I know a few people who repair iPhones. Many "used" units are refurb units, inside got oem parts and etc. we won't know.

Greetings , does anyone have network issues with their iPhone 7 ? This is because my network was going on fine until the few recent weeks and I am not sure whether it is the telco problem or the phone , tried googling but I found none of those that have the exact same issues as mine. The issues includes:-
1) my phone always no service/searching (no reception at all) , this is fine at home as I have wifi but it it very troublesome when I need to use my internet outside where no wifi is accessible and also hard for internet banking for tac purposes , hence it’s been really stressing me out
2) it will randomly go from 4g full bar to no service in an area where reception is typically great
3) the line may stay at E after a phone call

In light of my issues , I would love some insights or advices to my issues if the problem is known , whether it is telco ( I’m using celcom , they said it was ok but I’m not too sure ) or the phone is the cause (mechanical/software).
