1. Non comodegenic make up. Google. It doesnt clog pores.
2. if you have sensitive skin, do some research, see what triggers it. Chemicals in your makeup that you may be allergic to. So avoid lah.
3. Use reputable brands, e.g Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Sephora, MAC, Estee Lauder etc. Don't skimp and get some unknown weird brand that has god knows what chemicals, and you end up with a HUGE skin problem that'll cost you $$$ to fix.
4. Skin care routine. Start now. Use WATER based moisturisers. Many, many facial aestheticans + aesthetic doctors have said this to me.
5. sunscreen is a MUST. Sunsense is a decent brand, but those with oily skin, check first.
6. Facial wash- use the correct one for your skin type lah.

I can't tell you how many young people do not take care of their skin properly- not removing makeup before sleeping, never wash face properly, no sunscreen.

Then when they're 30 they look 50. Then whine and cry. How lah.

When you are more established & have some money, go see an aesthetic doctor (NOT Dr Ko, the bloodsucker), and get a monthly glycolic peel.

That shit works and isn't crazy expensive.

Heliocare is another one. AA Pharmacy is the cheapest, but the sunscreen is not cheap. They sell at the skin doc's places as well. It's AMAZING stuff.

"Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Sephora, MAC, Estee Lauder" are quite toxic aren't they? Look through their ingredient list again. Usually those popular, mass produced stuffs that are available in most malls or pharmacies, aren't really safe. Good stuffs can't be mass produced.

is there anything to prevent sagging skin

Kigelia africana. It's been used for hundreds or maybe thousands of years to firm or lift sagging skin. But it's hard to find though laugh.gif

Wrong way to Google.

You Google to find out how comedogenic is the ingredient (high is bad, low is good). Then cross check against the make up ingredients that you want to buy.

A lot of the ads especially those mainstream brands claims heaven & earth, but the actual product is no where near what it claimed to be. They rely a lot on placebo effect & marketing to hype up their brand. If you read their ingredient list, quite often it contradicts its claims e.g. it claims to be hydrating but it contains loads of alcohol that dries up your face.

Hello !

I am just wondering if girls must wear makeup to office?
My friends who are also freshie like me never wear makeup to work..but I see all our seniors wear makeup.

Is it considered inappropriate to go to office with naked face?

My skin is not really that good. But if i wear makeup will get do many pimple.

wearing make up is to make yourself more presentable~
maybe a lipstick for u is good enough?

wearing make up in right way wont make your skin worse, sometimes it can be protection as well.

no beauty treatment to prevent saggy skin ? confused.gif

Regularly use kigelia should help prevention. It can moisturize as well.

Other prevention is probably vitamin C to encourage collagen production & probably exfoliate regularly to stimulate younger skin to grow. Plus, sunblock to prevent UV damage on your skin.

It is fine, unless you are severely allergic to something in the products itself. If you're going to worry about things being 'mass produced' then you're probably going to end up with... not many options; and this would extend to maybe even garments then.

The thing about larger companies is they have the money to run pharmaceuticals tests and what not. If you're the kind who prefers cruelty free, then don't use MAc; as they do animal testing in China (if you want to sell in China, you must test on animals; weird shit but it's China lah).

If you have bad skin now then better solve the issues at hand first, before buying any make up.

CarbonLaser peels, microdermabrasion, Q-Switch lasers. All these procedures stimulate collagen, and even out skin tone.

Fractional CO2 does as well, but docs only do this for heavy wrinkles or skin that has ice pick like acne scars; and it's quite pricey.
