Hello !

I am just wondering if girls must wear makeup to office?
My friends who are also freshie like me never wear makeup to work..but I see all our seniors wear makeup.

Is it considered inappropriate to go to office with naked face?

My skin is not really that good. But if i wear makeup will get do many pimple.

its up to you, if makeup brings you confident then you wear

if makeup troubles you and you hate it then don't wear

It got nothing to do with senior or junior , if you respect your job, respect the people that dealing with you everyday either internal staff or client then makeup is somehow an essential impression to others

I see! So that means not wearing makeup is like not respecting your colleague and work?

It depends on your job, if you need to see client everyday , will you go out naked face?

if you need to team up with your colleague and see client regularly, will you go out naked face? if so, while your colleague is on makeup while you are off, what kind of impression given to the client. At the end, do you respect your client? do you respect your colleague?

if your job is operational job, dealing with machine, dealing with PC, how thick you wear also won't make any impact as the machine wont generate better production just because you are wearing makeup

Be rational and thoughtful for the job you are doing, not solely shooting at "why you must wear makeup to work"

I am asking this because I am really new in working culture, so there are some politics that i just dont know..
so is it wrong to ask here if there is an underlining obligatory command to wear makeup to work?
I work with computers, never meet client, maybe talk to colleagues, talk to boss..but recently my CFO asked me why i never wear makeup..

don't worry, if your company do not specify the dress code and how your appearance going to be in strictly manner, wearing makeup or not won't become the issue, even your CFO can't do shit on you (he only can ask but not order)

just put yourself in the environment of the company, imagine you walk into your work space (lets say 50 people work space) , all naked face and some even looks like zombies, do you have motivation to work? you will feel like you are working in a dead town or something

if you see a handsome guy , wearing nice suits, with great haircut and nice face shave , how do you feel that day?
The same handsome guy, hair like shit, wear casual and having an ugly beard , how do you feel that day?

The way you present yourself, indirectly will affect the aura of the company
So it depends on you either you wants to make it wonderful or ? smile.gif

I see..so it depends on how you want to make the work environment be..
So that means most seniors who wear makeup are actually want to spread positive aura for a greater work environment ? I guess i should start makeup 😢

its all on yourself on how you wish to present yourself and how you value this external factor for your work
some senior that you mentioned maybe she wants to get more attention?
some maybe just couldn't face the mirror without makeup?

babe, it's not necessarily that you have bad skin means you can't wear make-up. just don't apply foundation or 2-way cake powder, which sometimes aggravate acne if you don't clean it off well afterwards..

you can still wear lipstick, use eyeliner & eye shadow, draw/trim your eyebrows, put on falsies.. these will not affect your skin.. but it also depends on what you feel comfortable with..

by d way, if you have uneven or dull skin tone, apply toner and clinique super city sunblock.. it evens your skintone and gives you a beautiful glow.. a cheaper alternative but just as good is biore bright face milk which you can find in watson's...

Cleansers normally don't clog pores unless you leave your cleanser on like a cream.

hi babe, maybe you can check the ingredients of your loose powder against this

https://www.porespective.com/wp-content/upl...ation-sheet.pdf

personally i don't use loose powder as I have sensitive skin. However my friend has perfect skin and she has been \using Bobbi Brown loose powder for ages...

i think you need to change your cleanser to water-based ones...

usually if you are in marketing or you are meeting people, then its more required. i guess for some companies grooming is important even if you are not in those roles, then again getting the makeup skills wouldnt hurt i guess.

in mine i not expected to, and im happy to go with as minimal makeup as possible while i focus on my daily business.

well i believe, end of the day, when it comes to beauty your self confidence is more important. makeup for yourself, not primarily to impress others. perhaps you can also use this opportunity to make friends with seniors or people you havent really talk to by asking tips.
