Need to try few avail options, to identifying the correct steering feeling. For any engineering students, they will learn how to determine and apply lean manufacturing concepts, like FMEA, RCI, 5W1H, 5S ..etc to solve any obstacle. Rather than early assumption which may not applicable, nor the root cause.
Experience may be relevant, but is it the real issue?
*
on which quote, said I ask LYN members or rim shop owner to read lean manufacturing concepts?? Comprehensive list, please..

Generally, all engineering students at tertiary education, need to study basic lean automotive manufacturing concepts. And when in career, they will apply and solve complicated issues..

Ape ni gaduh2.. Vios bukan lawa pon.. Kalau saya ada duit saya dah beli mk7 dah.. Duit xde je ni terpaksa pakai vios.. smile.gif
*
Ada duit, apa2 rim, upgrade body skirting, tukar lampu, HU, leather cool seat..etc pun boleh.
Pocket Duit sendiri.. Up to you to decide.. upgrade, get new or better C or D segment or SUV car also can..

cantik atau tidak, depending on individual person taste, pakai pocket duit sendiri, bukan pinjam duit dan boleh publish photo Gallery here , ok? setengah2 org comment cakap byak di forum sudah lama, , satu photo here X ada pun.. hmm..

I thought sharing is caring, right?.. unlike isolating dalam rumah and syiok seeing own car daily?? Show us yr photo, good or nice, sama2 kita upgrade.. If the thought is not nice, quiet, get other opinions and RESPECT feedback. Different people got different levels of views and wisdom. Cantik or not, subjective question to different individuals right?? Target on Vios car topic, NOT on individual, account. Be rational critical thinking..

Jom jumpa di MK7 forum untuk discuss / feedback .. lagi byak photo cantik.. mungkin juga, byak org juga kata MK7 X cantik??

U know, sharing is caring. If you say it is good, I make my OWN wisdom and may consider to install it too. Thanks.

Happy Malaysia Day guys...

Hmm.. is our group really that "quiet" or inactive? haha tongue.gif

Cause sometimes I will go City forum to wondering around.. And their forum like everyday got updates lol...

Anyone here joined the TVCM club? (Toyota Vios Club Malaysia)
*
While I was driving home today, saw 8x different Vios cars on the left road moving 60 - 70km/hour @ same direction.. Must be from TVCM or coincidence few Vios 2gther?? Open yr FB, search TVCM, like or follow, post comment e.g joining into TVCM..You will get update and upgrade news onwards.

Later, between the traffic junction, another 3x VIos come pass thru and u know, got less other B segment car that 20mins road driving interval.. no surprise.. perhaps coincidence moment..

Hi Vios sifus,

After so much debating with my head and soul, I finally decided to get a Vios GX.
Hope to get some helpful advice from this community and learn from everybody since this is my first car.

Great choice and nice Super White colour.. Need SUPERB regularly hardworking to clean, wipe, wax (touch up) to maintain car brightness colors at all time.. need to get good 100% material microfiber cloth at home and put extra microfiber cloth plus 1 / 1.5 liters water in bottle at car bonnet to clean at office / shopping / any car park, especially on the front, side and rear skirting.. my car always been clean most of the time.. Even it is raining season, When reaches home, turn ON house water tap to flush front, side and rear skirting.. hmm..

Very outrageous polished sport rim.. easy to maintain polish RIM cleanliness, and occasionally need to apply high gloss tyre shine.. Regularly car cleaning, treats it as exercise lifestyle. Get sweat and always be healthy..

why get GX? get G instead.
extra money for extra comestic gimmick items, not worth
*
For your own perspective, maybe not worth value.. hmm..

For youngsters or young executive, perhaps nice RIM, skirting, leather seats are more "pleasing and attractive" , beside acoustic windscreen and rear disc brake..

Anyway, own money , own choice to determine the decision making.. we can only wish, All the best to new GX car owners..

Will write email to UMW Toyota / Toyota HQ in Japan, to put extra safety features, body skirting and polish sport rim for all standard variants new car without incurring extra cost, from year 2018 onwards.. Thanks.

Yes so true. I can remember I wash it twice this week and my gf keep asking why? even though she was the one that drove it during the rain.
*
With extra microfiber cloth and 1.5liters bottle water in yr car bonnet, you can easily pour water into cloth, wipe / clean the front, side and rear skirting at anytime, anywhere.. Your white colour car will be bright at most of the time..

Thanks and feel proud for showing up the photo here.. hmmm...

Guys, your views. For a medium silver vios, what skirting would look best? TRD, latest TRD or GX?
*
For medium silver colour car, GX body skirting will be more suitable, More sporty, fiercely with dark tone front grill chrome and GX darker polish sport rim with t10 6700k bulbs..

Importantly, gather some feedback and review, save and spend
own $, make own decision and you will like yr car even more..

This one can be hijacked pretty fast
The best is still combo of steering + pedal lock
*
YES, Accs shop recommends steering + pedal lock cost 380 and above, When I ask for quote last time..

Extra Steering lock will only delay, slow and perhaps make thief change his plan, if there is nearby same Vios car didn't hv extra security lock.. Aim car got no extra security lock..

Thanks for the feedback

how bout this one, It got airbag security too.

[attachmentid=9195869]

[attachmentid=9195870]

it got T-Rex brand on it and price about RM160. Is it any good?
Yes, I wholeheartedly agree.
*
Get extra security lock and that will slow down high grade thief..

For me only, after I made deposit booking, I surveyed few locksmith shops, accs shop, asked many stupid questions and finally inform my SA to get security lock price above 250 as a gift by purchase new car from SA.

After 2 months, When I installing my car body skirting at accs shop, I checked out few pedal lock with dual keys..very Mafan, to keep extra 2lock keys in pocket/handbag... And what, Accs shop owner told me, that T Rex security lock can be easily dismantle.. I asked him how?? He told me, by putting candlestick into the security lock where insert the key opener,, burn it with high grade fire, put/try few spare keys with errors until success open..then, I gave him my T Rex lock and asked him to show/demo it to me.. to unlock.. Anyway, no harm to demo, as my t rex is FOC ..

U know what.. Sales person is not always a technical person.
Business owner mind is not the same with workers.. if u r engineering students, will notice sales person good at talking..

My advice, u go survey and check around.. Extra security lock or pedal lock and others will delay high grade thief.. Ur $$, ur decision, ur action.. stop here. Talk a lot here, since you asked.

Next question, got thief want to steal B segment Vios??Vios in high demand?? Security lock is for thief to change / delay plan?? Why not choose luxury or expensive big car???. Hmm...Get FOC lock from SA if good negotiation b4 purchase.

Bring My friend to Accs shop, for my friend car front small lamp and rear number plate bulb = White.. in lazada, mudah, ..etc rm 50 / pair .. osram t10 6000k bulbs..

Differences of Osram t10 bulbs, 1) 6000k Cool White 2) 6700k Sky White .. hard to see the different thru naked eyes, but slightly blueish ...

Observe and learn how to open and close the rear bonnet connection.. For front light, just normal clockwise or anti clockwise direction to open and lock WHITE bulbs..

Now I Considering changing reverse light, t15 bulb super white... Got many colourful t15 bulbs nowadays.. anyone change to t15 bulb??

For the sport rim, less frequent to clean and wipe, as it is machine polish RIM.. Always darker bright rim..

Since the car is new and new paint, NO NEED to do coating @ car wash shop.
Get good wax cleaning tool from AEON, GIANT shopping and touch up..
Get 100% microfiber cloth and spare water in bottle, put into car bonnet =506 liter. Let get exercise and hardwork sustainability to ensure brightness at all times..

Hello mr netmask8, i would like to ask a few question. Is the white vios in the pictures yours?
If so, is the exhaust pipe in the picture real? And how do you fit it with gx bbodykit?
*
Yes, it is one of my cars.. But the important message is, do you see the different sport rims among these parking cars I try to convey in the photo? Photo tells us a lot of things..

Yes, the exhaust head is real.. 1. FItted GX body skirting first.
2. Surveyed 3x exhaust shops, and choose nice 6 inch single head, instead of dual 4inch head (nice but fake exhaust head)
3. Exhaust worker cut the original exhaust head by 10 inch, welding a bit to hold, confirm the high, left / right and finally permanently welding.. cost rm 100 for 6inch single exhaust with labour cost.. CAsh, no receipt, no gst.. nowadays many in lazada, mudah, ..etc just screw and tighten the exhaust head.. no welding..Attached Image

For me, no need to put nice fake dual exhaust head.. one single nice exhaust head will do.. unless the luxury car got turbocharged engine with great certain horsepower..For me only,Vios priority colors are white>red>medium silver>silver>black .. no plan for bigger spoiler, white LED headlamp/fog lamp, rear aerokit...

Fake dual exhaust head.

Guys need your opinion...

Do you guys think it's worth to buy vios TRD or buy normal spec like E or G is sufficient??

Planning to book 1 over the weekend but kinda lost...

I saw TRD silver metallic looks awesome..

Give ur inputs PLS...
*
For My own view only, if you can afford it, why not get TRD / GX specs?

My family veto me to buy higher spec choice last time, and later I upgraded it. Spoke to my friend whom also got HRV medium spec recently, later he also voice regret of not getting high spec..

Importantly, you know yr pocket well and go for your own gut feeling, after few test drives, survey these colors as well as features.. Silver color is much easier to sustain and take care..
On color awesome, it is very subjective question.. different peoples got different levels of color tastes.. Go for yr feeling better.. For me, if TRD spec,I opt and go for pearl white color.

reason = do u notice that, nowadays many Vios(2nd Wife) wore nice 4x shoes(sport rims) and dress skirting(aerokit front, side, rear + spoiler) on the road with WHITE front/ rear number plate bulbs?? Nice, isn't it? And car drivers = youngsters or young executive adults.. alright.

Thanks for your feedback brother.

My budget is open for TRD, which means I can afford the installment. After all i notice the price difference between G and TRD is around RM5k. So, the premium will be around 40 ringgit difference a month.

Do agree with you, silver is much easier to care then any other colour. I think the hardest will be white or pearl white, unless rajin cuci regularly la.

Hahaha. I like your last statement...
*
What free gifts you bargain and want?? E.g steering lock / pedal lock with price tag > 250 , 1x bottle of waxing, ..etc
