Hello everyonee, i want to know what's the noise that sounds like frog when wet, especially crossing over road bumps?

Does anyone know what's wrong with it?? Hydraulic problem? Bushes? Spring? rubber thingy?

Vios 2014 G

it is either from lower control arm bush or stabilizer bush
*
This ' lower control arm ' is the rear / front one?

Odometer is only about 22k, cause drive less even though 6 years already.

Those rubber bush has how long of a lifespan?

Attached pic is the front one, atm, only the rear got frog sound when wet.

You mean the Rear or the Front?

The bush dried / cracked / harden or simply out of lubricant?

This is a photo I take when I change tyres a few months ago...

Is this what you all call bushes that dried and cracked?

Is this what causes frog noise when wet when going over road bumps?

I cant really tell front or rear , but most likely rear, not really sure.

If rear, I see there's a plastic cover on the hydraulic. Is that what cause frog noise?

Does changing the original warm white halogen into 6000k white light led will get me into trouble with police?

it's H1R2 bulb type.

Is there LED with warm white that are brighter than normal bulb? I feel my vios is not bright enough since high/low bean is the same one bulb.

Latest Gen vios/yaris has seperate highbeam bulb which when turned on, will be brighter than my 3rd gen G spec when turned highbeam on.

Which led you guys uses? Lifespan?

Get into accident, the car beside me should be going straight ( she's on straight lane ) but she turn right, and i was on turn right / straight lane, I go Straight , and BAM! My Bumper's bracket broke, headlight crack, fender a bit dent, some scratches.. her car rear passenger door slight dent and scratch

what you mean by replace 2 - 3 times? You mean it break when time is due?

1.got slight unnatural feedback [ie the steering shake a bit] when you do full turn

2. got knocking sounds when crossing bumps, no sound when driving
*
How's the knocking sounds? can feel from pedal?

Mine's 2014 Vios , NCP150... Sometimes when i cross bump, it has like sound especially the front, sometimes if i go fast enough to the bump and slow down, cross it, it will have something hit or sound.. but unsure.. but after subsequent bump, it kind of don't have anymore. i not sure how to differentiate what's a lower arm knocking sound should sound and feel like when crossing bump

My NCP150 is 9 years old and while i recently serviced 4 Absorber and mountings, absorber link and bushes, but when i bring 3 people seated at the back , the back will be low.
When pass by road bump, it will hit the ' black plastic piece ' that are in front of the rear tyre that reduce water splashes thingy? I don't know what's called.

Does adding Spring buffer really help? Or spring have reached useable lifespan? Too soft? Change to more harder spring?

Does NOT hit the road bump if just 2 people in the front, driver and front passenger.

Thanks.

Didn't suspect the brake pedal itself? after some years, some of them develop tak tak noise when flip-flopping (step on it lightly/gently). If its pedal issue, use hand to flip its edge also can replicate.
*
it did have some noise if just lightly tapping on it, it's always been that way since day 1. But lately got the tak tak noise...

Expensive to fix or replace?

mine is 2019 model.. clock 40k mileage.. my car cross bump have sound on 2020.. SC detected is absorber bush.. so done change it.. but the case not settle and SC cant detect the sound due to the sound not louder enough for them to diagnose.. at the end of 2021.. the sound become louder.. this time even when turning the steering when crossing over the uneven road also will have sound and SC detect is steering rack problem.. it took 6 months for me to waiting the steering rack claim.. so change it on last month.. so far dont have any sound yet.. so maybe the sound is cause from the steering rack..
*
Pardon me, how's your car now? Mine cross bump at slightly faster speed like 20kmh will have this krak krak noise. I changed most of the front suspension liao. Absorber , cover and mounting, satay bush , sway bush, lower arm ori. Everything new and original toyota. There's no vibration from steering wheel and dashboard. I guess engine mounting is good.

Hi, it could be the the lower arm bracket crack, if still within warranty, please go and check, they will replace it for you.
