Erm.. Not sure if u guys encounter this or not.. For CVT model.

There is a noticeable "pheeee" sound when u put off the accelerator pedal, right after you pick up the speed around from 0km/h to 30km/h..  But during car accelerate, there are no sound of this..  Seems like CVT gear box?

27k mileage bro.. Hmm.. Its like aeroplane "weee" sound..
You may go into a indoor car park with less noise pollution, roll down both front windows,
Then accelerate the car gently until 30km/h, then release the pedal, you will hear the noise..
Errr... Tried before, it sounds like "yieeee", its different from what I mentioned above.. Maybe this is CVT behavior?

Yes. I purposely take a day off to fix the seat and do 1k service.  They do initial check and last changed the frame. The noise only happen whenever got passenger
But I still get the noise on & off. I went back service center again but during the test drive no noise. They told me to record and report to them.
FYI..I went to service center S.Alam section 15.

I have done my first service oredi. Possible i travel to other sc?Goona to try that

For my case on seat. I have wrote email to UMW and told them service center never check. Within 2 hours, received call from SC and ask for what problem and straight book apoitment to send in for check. I went to shah alam section 15 SC.

Hi, the old tire capped around 29 to 30k.. And trade in rm40 each..
I had compared between cc6, uc6, xm2, Yokohama, and ps3.. Every tires has pros and cons, been crawled many forums out there to find out the review of those tires..

End up I made my mind to get myself a set of ps3.. Even the tire upsizing I also do some research before making the decision..

Tyre manufacture date is oct 2018. Tire shop location located at my hometown, Tangkak Johor..

For now I will keep monitor the FC..

Use back OEM 15 inch rim.. Tire changed from 185/60/R15 to 195/55/R15.. Very marginal ratio and no much effects on speed, pickup.. Most importantly, tire safety functions well..

Upcoming Yaris is the same as current Vios but without the boot.

The platform is still largely based on the second gen (2007) Vios, nothing new there.

just went to 40k service, gearbox oil not in their list to service at 40k.

Not sure. But as i remember during my 30k servis, they also said same thing, at 40k servis need change gb fluid so estimate Cost will be 7++. But today sudenly said no need. 😑

Yeah, its confusing for us. Need other experience either need to change cvt gb fluid at 40k milage or not?

So thats mean most kl user not change the cvt gb fluid at 40k milage service?

Thank you so much for many of the feedbacks coming from Vios owners, they are very precious information for upcoming new car buyers who are still scratching our heads on which car to buy in near future.

After reading recent comments, it seems the SC at Cheras has generally not so good reputation on attitude (not responsible) and way of doing business (threaten customers to do more than they should in order to keep the warranty valid). So any experience Vios (or Toyota) owners who can recommend which SC has the best reputation for new Toyota owners to go for? Shah Alam?

I dont know why everybody saying vios and city got issue while there is not much issue from my end for both. Or perhaps, I dont consider those rattling sound (so far not yet appear) are not issues?

To solve tailgating problems, very EASY.. For me my car is flitted with rear super HD dashcam with blinking led light every 15 seconds. Used for past 18 months..

Tailgater will follow your car a while and speed away left or right lanes after seeing your rear dashcam led light .. or stop tailgate when seeing rear dashcam at traffic light stop junction.. Good decision making, right?? If Tailgater "kiss", they will losing their car NCD and pay higher insurance premium cost starting next renewal.. From solid evidence point of view, no "horse runaway" if there's any road accident or argument who is right or wrong..

Many car owners installed front dashcam camera,  but  I would encourage all car owners to install for rear dashcam too. Like new Vios, rear dashcam is optional and cost rm 350..

Easy to get and install, with WiFi connectivity .. Upload and Download through WiFi.. Alternatively, take out rear dashcam Micro SD card and put it into computer to retrieve image.

Edited : I replied at City forum and copy/paste here  as well on importance of rear dashcam and tailgating matter..

Check lazada, shopee or pay higher price getting it from accessories shop..

Get better resolution, support bigger micro SD memory card and clear video
Format like mpeg4 especially during nightime.
Old video format are avi, mov..

2019 Vios rear dashcam rm350  is optional, but I think it's better to have, to "reduce tailgating" or avoid any dispute on who is right / wrong matter if needed.. Solid evidence is the clear ideal solution for any road accident argument  if got any..

steering rack is common problem, my 2017 vios change at 70k mileage, while i was dropping off my car at sc, another vios just pick up from replaceing steering rack also 70k
