I bought some bodybuilding supplements from iHerb which consists of Multivitamins, Omega 3, Ashwagandha, and Digestive Enzymes. All together comes with 6 different supplements. When the supps arrived, the pharmacy department insert a warning letter together with the parcel. What bothers me is that in near future I need to reorder again from iHerb. Tomorrow I'm gonna go to the Pharmacy Department to have further explaination as I'm buying this supps for my own use, not for resell. Does anyone experience this? Do you still buy supps from iHerb after getting this letter? If let say i use UPS shipment option, can the parcel enter without any inspection?

Sorry for a new thread as the last one I saw (updated) it was 2 years ago. The policy and rules might change after these years.

Isnt the letter is very clear that u are violating the rules by importing suplements that are not certified by the pharmaceutical department? Every suplements suppose to have kkm logo certification if not mistaken.

My advise is buy locally Coz their products are brought in through the legal channels.

If you still want to import yourself, u have to go through the paperwork first like any other importers..

I'm not sure bro. I never know about this before. I thought any supplement can enter Malaysia. Luckily they let my things go this time.

So that means all other supplements in Malaysia have KKM logo even in bodybuilding's store?

They do have it in Lazada but unfortunately the price is unreasonable at all. I imported it is because I wanna use it, not sell it to other people.

And I need all those supps for my fitness and bodybuilding purpose. Life Extension hardly be found in local pharmacies too and that is why I bought it from iHerb. 😅

In ideal situation, they should be endorsed with kkm Shiny logo.. thats the proper way. If there is any without the kkm Shiny logo, then they could be reported or raids could be conducted.

I just called them this morning as I can't get to the Pharmacy office. Unfortunately there are no favorable reply from them. No approval from KKM, cannot bring in. If let say bring in again, they will confiscate the item or denda RM25k. Can get approval from them but gotta have license and registered company to bring in (Of course it will be so costly). So sad can't buy from iHerb already as they give a very good price for my supps. Hmmm. Local pharmacy markup their price until 200% due to taxes and licenses that they have. Very unreasonable. Ask them it is for my own personal use, they still say can't bring in. Fuck. ranting.gif vmad.gif mad.gif

Not gonna stay in Malaysia. Everything also wanna tax and can't do anything. Sigh

Just order in lesser quantities next time if for personal use. I've gotten similar letter before included into the parcel, but I ordered again and still received without issues.

How many times you order and how much the quantity?

Do they give you another warning letter or don't have d?

What shipping you use after that? Still using DHL?

Actually, every country has the same policy, just to protect the consumer And the local economy.. imagine if everyone simply import stuff without regulation, the local market will suffer. My advise is just change to another brand which are in your budget. I am sure there are other brands that are More economical.

Let me just say this, u will get away once or twice. Iherb has already been on their watch for a long time. 3rd u order, u risk saying goodbye to yr purchases. No appeal will be entertained as warning letter has been issued to you. Yes, they keep records of yr details in their database.

Their logic is simple, no registration no import. Want import, get license. Same goes for cosmetic items.

Quite a number of times dy. Usually around RM500. Don't have warning letter dy. Perhaps it depends on how hardworking the customs ppl are in checking your parcel. I didn't order from iHerb before but from another well known online pharmacy from down under.

I'm about to reorder again from iHerb as GAT Supplements is doing 15% for their product entire website. Hmmm. This time I wanna try using other person address and name. Hopefully everything goes well. In Malaysia I saw 11th Street sell quite high but still affordable. At their price I can get 2 items at iHerb.

You order from which online pharmacy if you would like to share. smile.gif

It's very simple actually, if 3 years jail & RM25k is something that you can stomach, then by all means go ahead. You're not the first, not the last & definitely not the only one. There are people who got visited, there are people who got called & there are people who got the letter. It's a matter of time.

It is just a warning. The most that they will do is confiscate the item.

Some Update.

I bring my gf to collect the parcel. I registered it under her name, address and phone number.

But unfortunately after buying just 4 items which is not illegal items, still the pharmacy department insert the warning letter inside it. Maybe for iHerb delivery, customs and pharmacy department make the rules tight for them?

So after 2 months I might buy again but this time I wanna try it to be under my name again. Hopefully this time also still can lepas because I only wanted to buy 3 different items only.

Thanks for the favorable reply everyone!

I bought 2 bottles NatureWise flaxseed oil from iherb this year and last year.

I ordered Biotin 10,000 umg from the internet (not iherb) . Hope it arrives bcos the highest concentration content that i can find here is 600 umg in GNC.

For my point of view...the vitamins sold in pharmacies etc in this country are pure garbage.
