my gold was like that...super freak out on the 5 jun...I walk pass the tank he'll jump...puasa until last thurs, nearly 2 weeks din eat...total lost about 8 - 9 scale. so heart sick, now a bit more stable, but at least eating...but when on light hide one corner.

I did put black water in the end and he calm down, but not sure if its the so many days break or the black water...

black water has the calming effect.

actually not confirm its the black water ...coz after about 10 days the fella panic, then I add black water n after a few days he start eating...could be he cannot tahan ...

brought it from Seremban to Dengkil, 2 hours journey in a pail
after some splashed n jumped, luckily no fin rot or injury

took me nearly 3 month to calm this guy
now, can eat from my hand

put the black water....seems to be ok.....will monitor and keep u guys update....got myself a bottle of Azoo Aquaguard too....

I guess black water because of the darker enviroment will make the aro feel secure thats why it has the calming effect...same as off the aquarium light.

i like them very much, just can't afford to keep them
need high maintenance like food, keeping the water clean, medicine (if the aro is under serious problem, etc)

its not wise to keep a stingray together with the arowana in the aquarium...

temporary display mayb got lah.. but suppliers suggest to us not to put stingrays together with arowanas. either.. the stingray die.. or. your arowana die. if im nt wrong the poisonous sting killed the arowana. or mayb the stingray died out of getting bitten. but .. i don understand why the arowana only killed the stingray but not those lampan and parrot fishes.
