Yeah man, and using paddle or B mode to increase regen was quite fun and felt good when it charges up your hybrid battery so during red light the engine is completely off. No sound and harsh vibration at all.

Yes it runs at normal speed with full cooling capabilities available, not like the stupid start-stop idling in other brands that cut off cooling

People are weird… the HUD means you don’t need to look down at your speedometer so it reduces distraction actually.

Ha, at first it may be distracting if you pay it too much heed, but after a while it becomes invisible because your eyes are focused on the road which is in front of the plane of vision that the HUD is projected on.

It's useful for ACC with LSF also because when you're using adaptive cruise you can set the distance and make sure LKAS is on and all that. It also shows you what the current speed is vs. what your set ACC speed is.

I think the EPS tightens and becomes harder to turn at higher speeds, otherwise if it's as easy to turn as when you're doing a U-turn it'd be disastrous for highway driving. As long as there's no "sticky"/"kiak" feel when turning like there's a notch or two that you need to overcome before it turns, then your steering rack is fine.

Hard to say, but when my Civic FC had the steering rack issue it had a pretty obvious notchy feel, like there's a small bump in the gear you need to overcome for it to turn. If it's just pure resistance without the notchy feel I think it's probably by design.

Annoyance for the most part, and since most people went in straight away to get theirs addressed idk what are the ramifications if you simply leave it unfixed (I'm talking years).. maybe the unit will fail over time.

Oh yeah I forgot you can set it to compass... I had it set to the ACC one and it's fun

I use it only for stop and go traffic so I don't need to slam on the brakes, which is doubly annoying...

For normal driving I much prefer D, because like you said the sudden loss of inertia is quite jarring, like someone using a rubber band to hold your car back

I live in Penang so the stop and go traffic you have to switch lanes frequently, so ACC will totally suck here where people just come into your lane suddenly...

Best fuel consumption is 18.3km/L 90% city driving and 10% "highway" (Penang bridge)

I got the RS, and tbh not worried about continuing servicing at SC after 5 years… my Civic FC I went outside after 5 years servicing and it wasn’t that much cheaper than SC so I went back to SC in the end lol.

IMO the hybrid powertrain refinement and smoothness is the signature of G6, it’s so refined no joke because it’s so quiet and comfortable without the NVH most of the time of the petrol engine. If anyone has the budget I would wholeheartedly recommend the hybrid variant to them.

The system is smart enough to know if your throttle input/demand can be met by just the electric motor, in which case it'll decouple the clutch to the petrol engine and just use the electric motor. It's possible it'll also prefer to use the electric motor more and more as your hybrid battery charge % becomes high, as when it's almost full it won't be able to take more charge that the petrol engine might be providing from spinning the generator.

Is it reliably detected on the left headlamp? The RS has adaptive headlights where the middle LED component can selectively shut off, and idk if it affects that feature at all? So far I've still been using TNG like a caveman...

Go to your Home Screen, then swipe to right side to find vehicle settings, then door and window, then you should find the Auto Unlock trigger. By default it’s “shift to P”, but I changed to engine off. Sounds like for you it’s engine off and you want something else. I believe the options are:

- shift to P
- ignition off
- disable (no Auto Unlock at all)

I installed it because my SA said there have been a couple of recent cases where warranty repairs were denied by HM corporate because customers installed dashcam on their own outside, and the hybrid RS has a more complex circuitry so it's better to err on the safe side.

It was RM1149 including installation and they tap it into the fuse so it has parking standby recording, which gets triggered when the G-force sensor detects significant movement. TBH I installed it for peace of mind since I was going to install a third-party dashcam into the fuse and that idea made me nervous since this is a new car.

The only downside of this Honda dashcam (aside from price) is that it's Full HD (1080p) when other aftermarket ones are actually 4K at this day and age.

The app is okay/usable since other Chinese dashcams like 70Mai and DDPAI have bad apps anyway. The app looks simple but is quite functional, it was easy to view front/rear footage and also to pull specific day's worth of footage out. It was better than the DDPAI app IMO (my old dashcam was DDPAI) because the DDPAI app makes you scrub manually to find the footage you want but the app here shows you based on trip.

RM3300 for the Raytech RX

For this car I really don't want any headaches so I went with JPJ compliant spec for FWS and front windows, so 70% for front and 50% for sides I believe. However the rear windshield and rear windows are tinted to the max they're very very dark since it's unregulated and I don't want my baby sitting in the back to kena sunlight
