I am not being defensive. I didn't care if people like the CRV or not even though I have bought one. If everyone buys what I bought, there won't be so many choices. I am just coming from the old-age saying that there's no perfect 10 in everything so some give-and-take is expected in any acquisition. As mentioned, I am not intending to offense, nor am I defensive of my purchase. To each his own.

And we were discussing about Trapo and one guy posted that he put his coil mat above the one that came with the CRV. Probably not a good idea. In the manual, it says that additional mat will mess up with the sensors(!??)

My uneducated judgement in terms of fuel consumption: I have driven about 350km so far and the fuel tank went down by 60%. Full tank is about 53 litres according to the manual. So 60% of 53 litres is 32 litres which is around 11km/litre.. Good or bad?... is that consistent with other owners?

QUOTE(keane04 @ Aug 8 2017, 04:56 PM) where did it mention about messing up the sensor? what sensor? In the air bag section, it did mention that "Make sure the floor mat behind the front passenger’s seat is hooked to the floor mat anchor. An improperly placed mat can interfere with the airbag sensors." But that's for the back seat. I just cannot compute how floor mat can block sensors

QUOTE(ketupatlazat @ Aug 8 2017, 08:55 PM) what did the car fuel consumption meter show? The new 1.5T CRV should return 10-11km/l on city driving and 13-15km/l on highways. Guess yours is about right Yeah, probably. The fuel consumption meter seemed to change every time I looked at it, so I turned it off, lol

What's this plus and minus? It's not accelerate /decelerate in cruise. When I press it, the D became D1, D2. I think it's like the gear box pushing it to 2 and 1, just below D, for overtaking?

QUOTE(beachboytwo @ Aug 9 2017, 05:03 PM) Guys .. plan to join the crv club just .. due to my car porch space are limited. Can any crv owner in here help take the measurement of the car from front bumber to middle of rear trye please .. Malu mau bring measuring tape to showroom 😅 . Thank you That day, while waiting for the missus to get ready, I was curious how long is the CRV vs the wife's Nissan. So, I just put my feet one in front of the other. Assume my feet = 1 feet la.. So, the CRV is 13" long while the wife Nissan Sentra was 12" long. Agak agak la.

Yeah I didn't like square plate too. End up having to take the one that the dealer gave, with their advertisement. Luckily Kah Motor's is tastefully done, not those that looked like "Syarikat ABC 012-3456 7890"

I bought Trapo. Thanks for the introduction. It's feels great and I saw the demo of how easily you can just beat the mat to have all the sands fall off. It is super water resistant, so very easy to clean off and there's a lot of Velcro strap all over to make the mat stays in its place. I bought the combo package that came with the mat at the rear boot and I like that it is able to hold on to things from sliding, due to its rubber nature, as you make sharp corner. It's expensive, but I think it's worth it long term. The only thing I didn't like is the mark made by your foot print can be visible. For example you walk on a dusty floor, and step into the mat, the whitish , chalk like, foot print is made visible on the rubber. I think a coiled mat or a cloth like mat will be able to hide this.

QUOTE(Neo_Y @ Aug 12 2017, 12:12 PM) Cannot stand the stock sound system, mid and high range is okay but totally no bass, overall too flat to my liking. Added a underseat woofer, additional mild bass filled in between the stock eight speakers, much better. Push your stock speakers with an AMP won't do much, a 6.5" drivers will never match the 8"/10" woofer. You may contact or search " Etoni Car Audio " in FB for more information. The lack of bass disturbed me as well but you are right, putting an amp will not improve the stock. Your photos are intriguing as I expect a bass box to be higher and bigger. I didn't know they have made one that is flat and can fit under the seat, so that's interesting to me to think about. BTW, the manual did warn not to put things under the passenger seat in case it interferes with the SRS air bag. Are you not concerned about it?

Thanks for your reply @Neo_Y. Yeah, likely I will place under the rear passenger seat. Have two young kids who will tend to kick things in front of them such as this woofer and the amp if I put under the front passenger seat, aside from safety (airbag) concerns. Also, I think the rear passenger seat could house both my Alpine amp (from the older car which was traded in) and this slim subwoofer side by side. Will check out Etoni - your shop?

QUOTE(cjlim2102 @ Aug 13 2017, 12:04 PM) Hi, Guys. Just got mine 1.5TC few days ago. Mine one the engine sound can hear quite loud (tak tak tak tak...... sound) from outside when the engine cover is closed and even louder when open up the engine cover. is it normal for turbocharge engine as mentioned by the foreman from Honda?? You mind doing a sound recording and upload? Don't remember hearing tak tak tak sound. Is it after you off your engine and it's cooling down?

QUOTE(cjlim2102 @ Aug 13 2017, 05:17 PM) The video is in the following link. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0hs8l65yhi6q00l/V...144856.mp4?dl=0Sound loud rite? Just curious is that normal? How about yours? Could it be because you are in an enclose/car park environment? I just listened to the engine this morning and it was ok (to me).. but I'm in open porch... the other thing is perhaps to compare to another CR-V, maybe.
