I see. Been following several CRV FB pages, seems like the S/E/V variants are now in stock, even though it was mentioned that production was halted. Hopefully I can get mine before raya.

They better make fast and sell fast before the Chinese EV demolish their sales, like in China

No idea, but Old1030 here says there's a chip shortage hence production is interrupted.

Still no news from my SA, again, hoping I can get it before raya.

Certainly not mine lol. What colour was it?

On a side note, I really like the "stadium" seats for the rear passengers. Easier for them to see around as well.

Why not consider the turbo version? I find it drives better at higher speed than the RS. In town, the RS drives better.

Some reviewers says the RS version, being heavier, has stiffer suspension.

The car will be used 97% of the time in town. We've tested both, the comfort in terms of vibration & noise when its running on battery is very nice.

p.s. We've considered EV but not feasible as we stay in condo.

Today marks the 3rd month I have my 6th gen CRV V spec. So far its been pretty ok. Having owned CX5, Tiguan, X70 and gen5 CRV before, here was what stood out:

The Engine.
A nice buzz and mechanical in feel. Doesn't pretent to be something it's not. Just enough power and refinement. Feels robust and unburstable. Responsive and accelerates faster than u think. Torque is sufficient with a full load. Just don't expect it to be a sports car. Quiet enough and certainly more quiet than all the above SUVs except the X70.

Transmission and AWD:
The CVT is responsive and supremely refined. It's a CVT that doesn't annoy. Although it does drone sometimes, it rewards back with performance AND good fuel consumption. I average between 11km/L to 15.6km/L city/highway.
The AWD initially I didn't feel made a difference. But recently there had been heavy rain and storms (today for example), and the CRV handled securely around corners. Water puddles don't throw the AWD off course like how a 2wd would have. I also discovered it helps me corner more neatly. Somehow the AWD 'tightens' the car around corners. On a lighter note, sometimes I test the AWD by spinning all 4 wheels on a wet concrete car park floor. With the traction control off, the rear steps sideways under hard acceleration. Feels like a rear wheel drive car.
Also, I like the assurance of the AWD that I know allows me the utility and flexibility to venture a little off the beaten track or get myself out of sticky situations.

Interior space.
Loads of it. And after struggling abit I finally found my right seating position. Seats are abit hard but not a deal breaker.

What's not so good:
The Ride can be brittle around certain surfaces. It is not Toyota smooth. Over large potholes it shudders the interior and the plastics give off a cheap sound.

Cheap interior materials. I expected better from a car this price point. The plastics don't feel premium enough. And the panels shudder from the sometimea brittle ride.

Audio system. Very poor quality and disappointed. Nuff said.

Road and wind noise. Abit loud even with Noise Cancellation technology. Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to help. I had to do some sound proofing to the doors. Also there seem to be a weird wind howl around 125kmh onwards. Comes on and off like a ghost.

These are my thought so far after 3 months of ownership. Overall its been pleasant and I enjoy it very much. No regrets at all.

Heard the waiting time is 4 months.

Booked my RS on 23/03/2024 and will collect the car tomorrow. Supposed to collect yesterday but delayed a few days waiting for the dashcam.

Told the salesman any color will do except white. They gave me meteorite gray.

Sorry. totally not sure if they still have stock or not. Maybe someone booking have problem with loan application and I was next in line.
Salesman told me to get loan approval ready after booking so that he can quickly grab one if available.
