CX5 handling better and more agile but cabin space is very limited.

During my 5 years ownership of the CX5 I have zero problem, sold it for 80K, slightly more than 50% resale value after 5 years, not bad la.....

The new CRV I have is noisy, and seems heavy when accelerate but the reliability, durability, resale and spacious cabin is what I want.

Today I finally found the time and test driven the new CRV 1.5 TC.

Overall Feel:
The new CRV is powerful (only tried the 1.5TC), and comfortable (the shock  absorbed bums and pothole pretty well.) But the engine could be a little loud for my liking. No chance to try the 2.0 version so I couldn't compare. Other than than, cruised on highway for a short distance at 90pkh, the car is stable, can hear some road noise, but the engine is loud. Really love the power of this 1.5 turbo engine, comparable to my 5.2L V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I owned in USA 15 years ago.

The buttons of the steering wheel for phone and cruise are below my expectation, very plsatic, in fact they are plastic!!! But not a deal breaker. Steering is light, but does not feel like leather, very foamy. Reverse camera not as clear as I wished it could be.

Interior space is spacious, love the leather seat, nice design and comfy.

Anyone installed the door protection film ? Is it useful ? Usually the inner part of the door handle get scratch easily. So wonder this door protection film offer as accessory going be any use or will it be plain ugly ? It only cost RM273 in Honda website.

All the car at my house has headlamp and fog lamp wrapped with PPF. Never encounter any black burned Mark.

Not that i know of. Anyone bought the ori honda sunshade? Wanted to knoq whether does it include the big rear one. I did check the ninja shades for older CRV which cost 2xx excluding the rear and to top up the rear will cost another 1xx.

Anyone tried this before? Auto door lock setting. I tried but it didn't work.

Hi guys any recommended shop to install anti theft lock and also anti theft rim bolts/nut for crv. My SA said her contact is rm500++ for the anti theft lock and honda is selling the anti theft rim bolts for rm200++., this is a bit pricey for me. Area around puchong or pj. Thank you in advance.

So, just took the car and family (4 adults and 2 kids) for a drive to Ipoh and this car is just so powerful in the highway. 130kph feels so smooth and quiet. The RPM at that speed is around 2700. At 100kph, RPM was just 1500. Super quiet. Pick up when overtaking is powerful and the turbo doesn't roar as loud as I'd expect. Very pleased with the performance and experience.

I was told that installing a hand brake bypass and using a wifi/bluetooth dongle, we would be able to use the mirroring feature.  I saw it in the Honda Civic thread in lowyat forum.

Was thinking to install the hand brake bypass and get a wifi/bluetooth dongle but I'm not sure installing the hand brake bypass would

1. void any warranty.
2. cause the HU or dashboard to loose and starting to have rattling sound.

In dilemma now.

Then you would claim his/her car insurance to cover the cost of repair.

Even if the car in front brake suddenly or emergency brake, as ling as u hit ppl from the back you are guilty.

The 3.5K is SA+Dealer own discount for TCP. 1K is Honda sehati sejiwa discount for month of September. SA+Dealer discount is fix. Honda discount depend on the promo on that month you get the car.

I'm guessing that Honda is going to give discount in the amount of :

Oct - RM1500
Nov - RM2000
Dec - RM2500

I just place order for 1.5TC. Was told 3 months waiting period. By the time when my car is ready , it will be by Nov. Am thinking to get in Jan 2018 instead since the promo discount won't be able to cover the devaluation. Dilemma Dilemma.
