I hear hissing sound when brake hold is engaged and car is stationary. If I step on the brake, the hissing sound goes away. Is this normal?

I connected my Samsung note FE to my car and it works like charm. But when I connect Huawei Nova 2i, it keeps showing not connected. I read in various sites the Huawei phones are incompatible with android auto..
Anyone has the same problem? How to get it connected? Thanks |

Hi guys, is there like a guideline saying we shouldn't go too high speed (> 110kmh) in the 1st 1000 km??

I feel your pain, hopefully the insurance claim process is less hassle and Honda will be able to fix it and make it like brand new again.Parked at own lot and got hit by neighbour's car ![]() ![]() |

My SA also didn't know, so I guess there is no formal requirement to break in the engine by driving below say 100km/h. Nonetheless, for my first 1,000km I did to stay within 100-110km/h most of the time. Just taking it easy on the new car. Doesn't hurt. |

I'm thinking of installing the bypass cable so that videos can be played when the car is moving. I saw there are two bypass cable being sold.
One is RM365: https://www.mudah.my/Honda+CRV+2018+Fully+C...et-59422400.htm One is RM50: https://www.mudah.my/Honda+CRV+G5+2018+play...4249.htm?last=1 Has anyone installed the bypass cable? What's the difference between the 2 cables above? The RM50 one looks like just one piece of cable, whereas the RM365 one seems like multiple cable and a box. The price difference is also big, just wondering what is the difference and is there any advantage of the higher priced one? |

QUOTE(belfong @ Aug 16 2018, 08:21 PM) I advice, based on your average mileage pattern.. Estimate when you would have driven above 400km, but before the 490km.. Call up Honda and place a booking for that period and inform them.. Just to be on the safe side..warranty-wise |

In case anyone is also looking for a bypass cable, just sharing what I found out. I contacted the seller of both cables. The difference is that the RM50 cable can is only to allow videos to be played from USB and HDMI while driving. The RM365 cable (which has a box) can also do that, plus can also allow browsing internet and watching youtube (from browser) while driving. One is RM365: https://www.mudah.my/Honda+CRV+2018+Fully+C...et-59422400.htm One is RM50: https://www.mudah.my/Honda+CRV+G5+2018+play...4249.htm?last=1 Has anyone installed the bypass cable? The price difference is also big, just wondering what is the difference and is there any advantage of the higher priced one? I went to the shop, and decided to went for the RM365 cable, but it doesnt work. Well, it works half the time. Youtube can watch sometimes from the stock browser, but half the time it wont show. Browsing the internet is mostly not working using the cable and box. Since not working, I decided to just go with the simple RM50 cable. Also not working. When I drive, the warning "cannot watch while driving (or something like that) still appear, and the video wont show. So even the simple cable is a no go as well. I think in order to play videos and run apps while the car in motion, I will just install Honda Hack. This solution seems to be working well for many people around the world. |

QUOTE(jackk_91 @ Aug 17 2018, 10:26 AM) Thanks for your reply. Hi there. I newly got a tcp model, installed android auto on my Huawei mate 10 Pro. Used original Cables to the smartphone USB port and initially it did not work. Can't recall exactly what i did next but you can try the following. I tried using the original Huawei cable, Samsung cable... Plug and unplug... Still not working... Many sites saying their disappointment with Huawei not solving this problem since 2016 1. Keep the phone plugged to the cable and switch off the car. 2. Switch it back on but don't touch the touch screen yet. Leave the car for about 5-10 minutes. 3. After this wait try checking your player. See if it detects android auto connection. You also go to settings on android auto and register the device so it always remembers your phone device. I'm using it everyday now for waze, Spotify and calls... 😁 This post has been edited by DaydreameR: Aug 21 2018, 01:55 AM |
