Have been using Infinite 150 plan for few months now. Seems getting more stable day by day... just wondering, how come there are no alternative plan from other telcos to challenge digi on this? not even umobile or webe comes close... maxis and celcom worst, chicken out Looks like digi's infinite 150 is going up 1 level to fight fiber plans...instead.

QUOTE(blaqz @ Jan 19 2018, 09:40 AM) My area used to get around 50mbps, but now it only goes around 5-8mbps Obviously it congested. Can it be improved by a modem with antenna? NO need antenna, i tested B525s with and with antenna, find that the internal antenna is better than external one. Internal antenna even works well indoor. Best combo is i150 + B525s-65a ... make sure you don't buy the cheaper model that doesn't support full CA 4G+ (2600/1800/900)

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jan 19 2018, 10:28 PM) Can not. The only way is DiGi limit infinite to 200gb and slow down after that. all this debrid, zbigz downloading is causing the congestion. you should never propose that, Digi need to put in extra capacity to support the many customers willing to pay rm150 monthly to join the digi family. SHOULD NOT & NEVER do cutting the plan and lower the speed. if cutting the speed, then many people to leave digi and go for fiberline, maxis or unifi fiber is cheaper now compared to digi i150... e.g. maxis 30mbps fiber is only rm139... unlimited data DL/UL. Digi knows that the i150 plan is targeted at fiberline customers to convert, since digi don't have fiber customers.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jan 19 2018, 10:58 PM) RM150 is small sum. Not many i150 compared to majority of DiGi user. By congestion, it affect all DiGi user. If majority user run away even worse. If cheaper, then go to fiber. Why go DiGi? 200gb is enough for normal usage. YES, going fiber is better and cheaper, but some would prefer mobility compared to fixed fiber. Like me i bring my digi i150 outside put in a MIFI for traveling and flexibility... i150 plan by digi is a BIG game changer to challenge the fiberline customers to convert to mobile internet, esp those who not always stay at home, so can bring out their internet with them... I would say DiGi is very daring and doing a GOOD JOB by this i150... a REAL solid plan to lead others to follow...

And lastly, is very idiotic to do downloading with mobile network. Should just get unifi. Some people are just weird. [/quote] Well many people want unlimited internet + mobility. Imagine with 5G coming soon... i believe highspeed internet will be mobile for all to use anywhere anytime . So Digi is way ahead of the 2 coward big boys Maxis and Celcom... no daring to improve their network to support their customers...

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jan 19 2018, 11:19 PM) Everyday I go to Infinite group and screenshot all proof of torrenting and allDebrid and send it to DiGi with the hope that DiGi ban those ip address. Also one day I hope DiGi implement 200gb tier to infinite 150. i would say you should move forward, ask digi to improve rather than cut off benefits and move backwards... capped the torrent... YES. but capped unlimited to 200GB is big NO NO... then don't advertise is truly infinite unlimited.... in fact now digi is a little but NOT unlimited by having a 1TB capped under FUP... for i150 BTW 1TB data capped is still a VERY good PLAN from digi

QUOTE(fadzly @ Jan 19 2018, 11:27 PM) why hope limite 200gb? we are moving to 5g, and we need that unlimited data that day. and that day 1tb may not be enough. i fully agree... instead Digi should work hard to provide better capacity to fullfill all their promises. NOT NOT cut it lower, its moving backwards mentality for some people... The i150 plan is a GOOD plan... work on it and Maxis and Celcom will follow soon. DIGI is no.1 leader now in 4G... so DIGI should lead the way

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jan 19 2018, 11:29 PM) There is a limit to improve. 200gb for LTE 400gb for 5g That many data how to consume? Now I have kid I can't even watch Netlifx everyday. OMG, i think you NEED a fiberline... period. since you are using internet at home. anyway you mention watching Netflix or iflix... 400GB is not enough...esp iflix/youtube/Netflix in HD videos... BTW what speed are you getting with your digi plan? using modem or phone?

QUOTE(fadzly @ Jan 19 2018, 11:39 PM) sorry. slow speed only happen in KL and klang valley. in JB, Melaka, its full blast 50mbps and above. And i cant live with 400gb. so i will not support u. [attachmentid=9530779] [attachmentid=9530780] YUP, i FULLY agree... 400GB is NEVER enough for watching videos... in KL/PJ speed is also OK around 30mbps... which is good enough for 4x screen of HD videos... I am puzzle why this guys is complaining about wanting digi to capped the data quota???? very funny

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jan 19 2018, 11:35 PM) You guys will thank me after the cap. Your speed will fly. Join me and voice out to DiGi. If you want slow speed and unlimited, you can change to Streamyx. SORRY will NOT support you. Your thinking is moving backwards... and not fair to others. Never cut others benefits so you can get better. those paying i150 have a right to use it, Digi just need to work harder to improve capacity, that's all.

QUOTE(fadzly @ Jan 19 2018, 11:47 PM) they will. with 5g, new infra, new tech, efficiency and fast, i cant see, why digi cant maintain their quota or might increase it to even more than 1TB. YES, i agree. with 5G, unlimited internet with mobility will be the way forward. fixed line fiber will be for business. home fiber may die off like the TM fixed line... slowly nobody will use it. its all a moving forward mentality, and we should all move forward together.

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Jan 20 2018, 03:24 PM) 1. I will never ever compare a WIRELESS with WIRED, is stupid enough to compare it together. 2. Fiber is a FIXED line services whereby you dont get the portability of infinite. 3. Mind you, infinite could do way more than what a fiber line can do, sms, mms, call. YES, i agree i150 can do much more than fiber, that's why it is a better deal to get i150 than fiber, especially for those area with streamyx only. Buy a nice huawei router with RJ11 phone support, you can call and sms as well. Put in a MIFI you have your internet on-the-go...

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Jan 20 2018, 06:54 PM) I'm using Huawei B525 and tested it. Maxis gives better speed than my Digi Infinite 150 does. you notice that ookla speedtest is not stable, sometimes its faster depending on which server you choose. not necessary fastest with digi server. go test it out with others server like... like maxis, setia haruman & etc... all showing different top speed. Also testing speedtest ookla using the traditional FLASH version give you higher top speed. check it out... But you need to activate flash in your browser.

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Jan 20 2018, 07:04 PM) I've tried both version of Speedtest. Same result. Maxis server test yield faster speed. Maybe my maxis 4G+ band 7 not so congested. yes, maxis 4g+ is also very fast. but too bad no unlimited like i150. Maxis is too scared to improve and provide better services to their customers. Maybe they don't want to kill off their own fiber business, maybe...

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Jan 20 2018, 07:28 PM) Limited to 65Gb quota is a bummer. No doubt my ipoh area maxis does the best job. In taiping near city area Digi LTE-A I've speed test can hit above 100mbps. yeah... 65GB from Maxis , for some can finish in 1 or 2 days... that's why Maxis is worried now, that they cannot catchup with Digi. Digi would have all the knowledge of handling high data users and congestion and their network design will be most advanced to pick up 5G tech when its here...
