Actually though the speed doesn't improve by 200% but the device is surely superior.

However, buying is not a difficult thing but you need to think what are you going to do with your existing router.

topup abit and upgraded to b618..totally worth it... still waiting my area to have 4G+ to fully maximize the modem performance...

e5186 even in full bar location speed still lose to b618. Stability and consistant speed also not that good compare b618

i play moba bang bang and 王者荣耀。 so far no issue la... sometimes is server lag. not internet lag... check your ping using your PC cmd.

Tempted for B618 from unifi, but afraid bini will pot pet for several years.. Haha

As an old timer for E5186, I can say it's not a bad router. In fact, it's very good.
I'm quite sure my 144Mbps record on E5186 is still far reach for many B618 users. I can even sell off the B618 and stick back to my good old E5186. It will still fly and consistent in my side here.

E5186 is also a good router. I was using it for 10 months and it's still in my possession.

it is if signal is full bar.... my area not so good.
i put sim in phone. do speedtest at main road/near tower speed only around 30mbps+
e5186 3 bar max speed 30mbps rarely seing. speed varies morning & midnight
b618 4bar max speed 50mbps+ most of the time.

not sur ehow b618 can get that speed
my house nearly edge of 4G coverage

I have to use an app to change my DNS. I cannot modify network by just inputting in DNS without putting a static IP address.
