Some source says that SHELL will choose 3 or 4 EPC company. But no news on the actual bidding date.

Hi guys, i am new here. Found this interesting thread related to my work so thought why not I share as well since most of you here are sharing genuine information.

There is a lot of uncertainty with SHELL projects as their PSC is set to expire next year, but Rosemari FID is expected to be around June/July 2020 and the first gas is expected to be in quarter 1, 2024.

Current projects SHELL has an eye for are:
Rosemari
GK2
Malikai Phase 2
E8

On Kasawari, the team will split into 9 packages. For example the first package will be long lead items where the PO will be placed by end of 2019.

I dont have the details of the 9 packages, would appreciate if someone could share what are those 9 packages defined to?

The scope will be split between MMHE and Technip. Anyone knows what are scopes that are split among the 2 companies?

I don’t know for sure but I can easily guess; MMHE will carry out the fabrication and load out scope and Technip will carry out the facilities design. The jewel of the contract which is procurement would likely be under MMHE scope also.
*
From the info i received. Technip is the engineering team, fabrication team is MMHE, while for procurement we have both Technip and MMHE seperately.

Last I heard T7/Tanjung is the lowest bidder. They approached MISC. However, they couldnt land on the agreed terms. T&C Bayan is tough for operators including uptime requirement and penalties.

T7 probably working with DP since DP had worked on MOPU1/2 under MOMPL in Sarawak last time
*
On Bayan:

The rumours i heard are the lowest bidder was borneo Seaoffshore not T7. FID is expected to be completed by 15th September and LOA to EPC by end of September.

Does anyone have the info on Dialog bought Haliburton's shares? Apparently Dialog's shares increased by another 25% for Bayan MOPU. Anyone to confirm this?

And only T7 and Borneo Seaoffshore was called for the negotiations in July 2019, Landas Offshore was not called....anyone to confirm this as well??

but according to my sources most likely T7 is preferred as they have more experience apparently compare to BSOE. Its very 50-50 i would say.

What made you confirm BSOE akan dapat?

Bayan MOPU apa cerrrrr??? hmm.gif

Membawang clan, assemble!

The last info i have gathered is. FID is approved end of August 2019, however the LOA to EPC is put on hold until the shareholder ownership percentage changes are fully resolved.

Previously it was 60% by PCSB, 20% Dialog and 20% Haliburton.

Heard its Haliburton that is pulling out and most probably Dialog is acquiring Haliburton shares.

For now LOA issuance is delayed until end of November 2019 and bidders are requested to extend the validity. Its between T7 and Borneo Seaoffshore i believe. Dont hear much on Landas Offshore anymore.

Anybody have confirmation on these rumors or heard the same thing? do share of any other info that you may have heard.

Its quite clear that SMEP will not renew any existing PSCs beyond 2023 expiry date. Left only its GK assets, rest will be on NOVs basis.

Butttttt, Rosemary & Marjoram greenfield, will Shell pursue for it?

What will happen to SMDS GTL plant at Bintulu? Retain?

Hewhewhew.
*
Spoke to personnel from SHELL, apparently for Rosemary & Marjoram will not be affected if the PSCs is not renewed. Apparently there is a separate PSC for Rosemary & Marjoram that is already in place and agreed.

what's NOV ah?

Jerun is still in FEED stage and scheduled to finish by year end. Jerun EPC ITB is next year 1Q. Jerun is a carbon copy of Penaga CPP.

I wonder who is Sapura’s design consultant for Hess phase 3 project..... RNZ?
*
Petrofac RNZ expects to end the FEED by March 2020 as per the original schedule, however SapuraOMV personnel is claiming to have to long lead items FEED to be completed by December 2019.

FID is in May 2020 and followed by the LOA.

OMV instructed SapuraOMV to have the ITB to be done earlier prior to completing the FEED. Not sure if this is a strategy by OMV to obtain a lower price in 2019 (compare to obtaining the price in 2020) and request for validity extension or other reasons.

Check with all master/sifu/guru here about Shell Rosemary project.
Had a chit-chat with colleague, he said this project put on hold or KIV now, due to some dispute between Shell and Petronas.
For what i know, this project is under going pre-feed by Ranhill WorleyParson, seems this project quite sure will roll out.
Any master/sifu/guru can validate the info above?

TQVM.

According from my intel gathered.

SHELL HQ in Hague have approved this project and SHELL HQ have allocated a high level estimated cost for this project. Apparently from my source this project have been announced internally in SHELL organization recently to take off in 2020 and SHELL are in the midst of getting the project concept approval from PETRONAS.

Pre-FEED was done by Ranhill Worley

Conceptual studies: currently ongoing but its done by SHELL in-house

FEED TBA

Target FID Q2 2020

First Gas Q1 2024

Despite SHELL expiring PAC of current fleet. Rosemari & Marjoram wont be affected as they already have a seperate PAC contract according to my sources.

Hope this info helps.

Any further developments on Bayan?

The last i heard FID was approved and Haliburton sold their shares to Dialog. Leaving PCSB with 60% and Dialog with 40%.

T7 was in the lead for the EPC award but heard rumours they might drop this. Anyone heard similiar rumours? bangwall.gif

Looks like it will only be Borneoseaoffshore in the race.

Heard rumors the project wont fly for now. Priority is given to other projects. FID is delayed until 2021 or perhaps sooner.

Just a rumor though nothing official is out.

Any chance for Shell Malaysia staff to get involved in Australian developments?
*
I know a few Shell personnel who are involved in futuristic unmanned platform development for Australia but based in Menara Shell. They work from here to support the development you dont have to be physically base there.

Heard a few rumours lately, would appreciate if others could share if they heard the same or confirm the rumours are true.

1. Kasawari - long lead items LOI/LOA are being held up by Technip, expected to be released within 2 weeks.

2. Bayan MOPU - expected to be awarded soon to EPC as FID is approved.

3. Limbayong - project delayed to 2021 or 2022 for FID.

4. Rosemari & Marjoram - FID approved in December and bid expected to be released soon

5. E08 - expected to move as SHELL obtained a PAC/PSC for 30 years.

Let me know if anyone have heard these rumours...TQ

Limbayong - heard epc bid extended & will finalize in Q1 2020  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Heard this last year that PCSB will request EPC for bid extension, but no official request was sent to EPC's yet.

Finalizing Q1, 2020 was also what I have heard last year. Just recently heard from my source PETRONAS not very keen on this project for now.

Again this is just the rumours i have heard maybe its true and maybe its not
