This IPC company is really a lalang company. It sold its assets to Lundin and left the country. Lundin sold its assets to Talisman and cabut also. Then Lundin came back, merged with IPC, and now IPC mahu cabut Msia. PETRONAS should not give any more PSCs to this kind of lalang companies.

Jerun is still in FEED stage and scheduled to finish by year end. Jerun EPC ITB is next year 1Q. Jerun is a carbon copy of Penaga CPP.

Sapura plans to do in-house. If not possible, Worley will most probably be doing the design for them. Apparently Sapura is satisfied with Worley’s performance in Pegaga design.

Whatever the outcome of the suit, Barakah’s oil&gas biz in Malaysia is over.

One can’t do oil&gas biz in Msia without having a license from Petronas. Petronas is not god, but it has a Parliament mandate to oversee and regulate oil&gas biz in Malaysia. Barakah just committed harakiri. Barakah checkmated itself.

An act of Parliament is required to change PETRONAS status quo. It’s not happening any soon. The current govt has no interest to change PETRONAS status quo.

And no one is saying that we should be afraid of PETRONAS. It’s just bodoh to go against the regulator, you will kill your business. At times we have to be smart and strategic in our biz thinking.

True. Now Sapura is deliberating whether to do the E in-house or sub to Worley. Hess job is an EPC of a WHP for NMB Phase 3. AKER is working on concept for Hess NMB Phase 4.
