FiringSquad reports that no playable demo will be released for Metal Gear Solid 4 before the game ships. This comes straight from the latest Kojima Productions podcast, which also states that the game itself will ship to stores in early 2008. People attending the E for All Expo at Los Angeles will be the only people to play the demo, which apparently is a refined and English version of the Tokyo Game Show demo.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is the highly anticipated action-stealth game from Hideo Kojima that is said to be the conclusion of the series. It is exclusive to the PS3.

The English version of the MGS4 demo, nor any version of that demo for that matter, not being released over the PSN has upset many fans through out the gaming community. This was stated in the KP podcast #62, that only those who are going to the E for All will have the ability to play an aspect of MGS4 prior to the actual release date next spring. This of course leaves out the VAST majority of the MGS fan base, and that would be a bit unfair not to give this opportunity to the many who can access the PSN, opposed to those who can attend to E for All convention.

So please KP, give us, the fans, the same opportunity to play this demo as you have given a select few.
