It is relatively fungus resistant.

Does it require a full day to apply this coating? And how is your tile coating differs from the other that the TS mentioned....epoxy flake coating? Do you have any sample photos of projects done?

Yes a full day is needed to be fully cured. We also have the flakes coating as well if you want.

Flakes is definitely better as it can provide smooth surface (covers groove lines). However it need a primer, then flakes, then a last clear coat to seal it up. It will be more expensive and thicker, but the aesthetic look is very nice.

Tile coat however, is easy to apply, just using a conventional roller is enough. The groove lines however, need to be filled using putty to provide a smooth surface.
It is cheaper as well and maintainance is relatively easy.


Regarding waterproofing performance, we recommend to lay a layer of cementituous waterproofing as base to enhance waterproofing properties.

Hi, I am having waterproofing failure on both my flat roof balcony. Currently the floors are tiled, we did use some coating previously but it only lasted for 4 - 5 months before the problem recur again.

In this case, is the best method to hack and remove all the tiles, then do the waterproofing? or can your coating help? It is an open balcony exposed to fully to the weather.

Yes we do have the solution. One of the easiest way doing it is to lay cementitious waterproofing as base then top coated with any type of coating or material (eg: clear coat, tile coat, tiles, etc).

It should last for at least 2 years as we provide 2 years material warranty.

The best thing is you can do it yourself.

Just change the non-slip tiles......cost is very cheap ! Less than 1k, which exchange your family safety.

After scrolling for 2 pages finally I see a sensible answer.
Hacking the tiles + redo waterproofing then re-tile is the best solution. It is your house and your family safety, don't rely on patchworks.
Toilet is not very huge, so it is wise to invest better tiles (homogeneous/technical porcelain) with anti-slip feature and to your preference, some structured surface (texture, not pattern). Check with the tile supplier and make sure you get their warranty letter, or better yet if they can do supply + install.

A contractor told me there is a risk with hacking existing bathroom tiles. If not done properly by the worker especially water proofing, it might cause future leaking problem to unit below. Then additional cost is needed to rectify the problem if this happens. That is my concern.
