because there are PS2 and PS3 and PSP.. PS2 is affordable for now..

i am seriously considering ps2...but worried if the console will die within the next year...i wouldn't call myself a serious console gamer...more casual...interested in sports games as well as occasional adventure/rpg like manhunt, bully or god of war...

should i invest the rm600? pls advise...

IMHO, even if the console die next year, there are literally hundreds of game titles that you can enjoy and keep you company for a very2 long time.

actually pstwo is around rm400-500 and really worth it. u also said u not a hardcore gamer and i'm sure it will entertain u for a while maybe around 2/3 years until ps3 is affordable.

it is true that there are many great games for ps2, as for now we only discuss about new games but actually old games are quite good

i just bought it last week. rm600. just invest. well worth it. the games graphic is still acceptable. and game is for game play, not graphic anyway.

i buy fan for rm10 together wit the slim. ori is rm80. local is rm30.

by the way, controller just buy ori. not fun with local.

and btw, controller got H and A version. Get the H version. H version is nicer

I was just wondering how much is the Guitar Hero guitar controller being sold in M'sia right now? Cap ayam also can. Becos I'm wondering if cheaper to buy in OZ, US or M'sia. Because if the M'sia cap ayam wan can use, might as well buy the cap ayam wan.

looking for ori controller la. gogo2, guide me how to differentiate between ori n local . they(seller) always say its ori, but im afraid its local loh. . some forum say, ori is little bit heavy rather than local one.

so far wht i notice...ori lil bit heavier, the red led in the middle is brighter (no whitetish cloud) and the joysticks move smoother...not so stiff...

maybe u can try bernard from gamers solution...trustworthy seller...

The Select and Start is inside a bit. The button is easier to press. Analog stick also better feel.

About the heavyness, it seems like A version (look at behind, u can see if H or A), is lighter than H version.
So maybe u should go for H version. For silver color one, I saw M version which is also as heavy as H version.

Maybe if u got chance, get silver color ps2. add rm20 only. controller is same price for both silver and black.

Do we need any setting to ensure it bootable by PS2?

u need to decrypt the game disc 1st n than only burn. it will just play like usual. unlike watching dvd movies, u need to hold the power button on for few sec to boot dvd movies.
