sigh, i guess i rather the customs tahan my goods cos now some cosmetics goods r being detained by pharmacy. N i read on their site tht they can confiscate all my goods w/o reasons! I mean if customs detain ur goods, then its bout money but if its pharmacy, then its more difficult. Can anyone help me? Or does knowing any big shot helps? ;p

yeah, i think many of us dunno bout this pharmacy dept. i just found out too. they unlike customs who detains ur goods for tax or duties, pharmacy detains it when ur goods (healty n beauty stuff normally) is not registered with them. They can confiscate all of 'em w/o giving u reasons too n they do not have to notify u when they detain them. Sigh.. So when any of u try to bring in health n beauty goods in qty bigger than for personal use in a month's time, pls be grateful when its the customs tht detains it rather than pharmacy!!

1. How do you find out the quantity does not tally? If can relate to us the whole story from the moment you know your cargo being detained.

2. Do you have proof that certain parties took your stuffs?

Ok, know wat? i came home on tuesday n find a poslaju note asking me to collect the parcel?! I m happy but at the same time wonders what these govt officers r doing. Y tell me detain n then release w/o informing me? I was gonna send my appeal letter n also plan to vist their office to check whther there r any missing items. Y i say not tally previously? Cos the qty in my order list n the qty they wrote in the detention letter is not tally lo- 10 items missing n since they dun want release (one day say release then another day say cannot) so i suspect they must have mishandle my goods. My bad, but they ve been so inconsistent with things they say so they make me confused. There are many other points too to make one suspect of improper conduct/mishandling/inefficiency but no need to list all la. we know msia boleh one.

But i do get back all the items, no short so no need complain. I think they wanna scare me only at first.. but sigh, i salute them on the way they do their work! thumbup.gif

I am hoping someone can enlighten me on this. Does employing forwarders or logistics services to import cosmetics items lessens the chance of having my goods checked/ detain by pharmacy or customs? I know about cosmetics notification procedure for cosmetics brought in by companies, but what about for personal use then? Must notify the pharmacy dept also, else kena detained or worse confiscated?

Hi people,

I ordered some stuff from Korea and custom block my shipment. It says high value item and need custom declaration. Can those working in custom or have knowledge help me? Can cosmetic be taxed? If yes, how much would the tax be?
Please help  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

cosmetic won't be taxed, at least from my experience but, it can be detained if u do not have an import license and you bring in big quantity.. wat exactly did they tell u?

Hi,

My case also same like Sony....the lady call and told me i cant import in big quantity....but she say this time is warning, and ask me dont do it next time....does this mean she will release my parcel?? i wanna ask more but she hang up already....

  what should i do now???

  thanks...pls help

If she says warning this time, i think she will release. Did u have a tracking number? Perhaps you can check its status online or you send an email to pos malaysia to enquire, or you can call them. Just be careful that you dun pay money to any third party as there are ppl who tries to con ppl also, saying your goods are detained and must pay money thru some shady channels.

Hi guys...

Are those slimming patch and detox patch considered cosmetics also? I tried to import some, but supplier told me might have problem with customs as their courier service told them the patch consists traditional medicinal powder, which is prohibited from sending via courier/air mail. The other issue is if our custom will require us to apply for special license for this.

Please advice...i want to get in for personal use.

Thanks so much!

Hi everyone,
i need someone to help me on this, i've browsed all this thread and couldn't find any reply that clear my doubts!!

1) i intend to import loads of facial masks is it dutiable?
Quantity around 2000 pieces which cost me around RM 2000.00  tongue.gif

2) do i need to declare it using form? whats the consequences if i do not declare it?
(there's some replies saying that it's almost imposible to run away from the smart custom officers... )  rclxub.gif

3) or any other way for me to ship in my items without being taxable to the boleh land custom?

Please help me pls  wub.gif  wub.gif          sweat.gif

From my experience, if custom happen to detain your goods (cosmetic) and pass to the pharmacy dept, they r likely to confiscate the goods as 2000 pcs of masks, which you can hardly claim as for personal use, as cosmetic items must have import license before you can bring them in. If you are lucky that the custom or pharmacy dont check your goods, then no problem.

If you dont declare and they happen to check your package, then its big problem for you. Importing cosmetic without license always has a risk- up to you whether you can take it anot.
