you probably can, just make sure the item posted is mark as gift, as small as can.
and the documents thingy, provide sufficient information. sometime it'll go thru (based on my experience),

other than that, you can also minimize the hardwork if you appoint or ask amazon or the seller to send the item using DHL, FEDEX. got several item passed. they're good in handling custom documents. but not sure if it'll work on u.

and one more thing, you can also ask for other LYN-ers help that offering amazon/US based website ordering service. they can arranged it and get it delivered safely.

from my own experience, i've imported several times xtreamer media player. all shipped using DHL. those guy promised me door-to-door delivery which means, no custom tax etc. so far so good. i got all my good from them without no problem. you should email the seller or DHL guys or any other reliable shipper like FEDEX (also no stuck in custom) about this. they're pretty good in this.
