If you tick gift, you cannot use forwarding, that means you need to visit the kastams, if you tick merchandise, you can use forwarding, they send the item to your house and collect the money on the spot provided you phone them for the forwarding.

does ticking the item as gift or merchandise have any difference in tax rate?
for example, ticking gift would get lower tax while merchandise will get higher tax rate??
